At whom is this "test" aimed at?
However i'll give it a try, but i don't think that i can fix the unfinished things in "pipelines".. let's see..

I think the test should apply to everyone, that way the quality of the pack will be vetted a little.

Your exempt from the test if you have at least 3 solid packs under your belt 😉

no no pak, you're taking things way to easy! I think if you have "at least 3 solid packs under your belt" you have to remix those presets in 15 minutes to be worthy... 😉

That means Tug, Hboy and Jheriko are totally screwed unless they get here in the next quarter of an hour. The clocks ticking boys bwahaha.... oh yea I'm screwed too cos winamp isnt on the university computers. Poo.

btw i think the presets are quite hard to "remix", i'd rather "re-do" them... they have a rather scanty appearance.

The test was created for Matt because with him I haven't seen the quality that would qualify him as someone that anyone would want for a remixer.
But do you ( = ^..^/PAK-9) think it's better that everyone takes that test? We don't have that much time left you know...

no, i don't think that it's suitable to let everyone take this test.

1) as you said it's not much time left, so you won't reach everyone in time.

2) and i don't have the impression that the overall quality of the presets will be bad, there are some good artists participating.

3) if someones remixes are really bad we don't have to admit them into the pack. you could publish the content of the pack when all remixes are done, so that we could finnish it in common agreement...

just my ideas.

Ok, wotl i also had to play a bit with your presets, i couldn't take them as they are.
as your comment's headline already says, those were "less advanced presets"... 😉

[edit: i've just recognized that i zipped the unfinished version, i also made some changes to the dm, but well i'm to lazy to post the final remix... in the end there's nothing to win 😉]

From yours I liked retrolines best, but the low framerate hurts me.. around 17 while the original swings around the fifties..
The other remixes were really hurting my eyes..
by the way there is a lot of idle stuff in the last two

I what I especially like in ^..^'s mix are the colors, but those hard blue lines are just a tad too strong IMO.

yeah, i know what you mean: when the particles move out of the screen it gets too blue. As i said it's just a quick overworked remix...
Feel free to adjust the color maps yourself 😉

btw. wotl: on what kind of computer did you view "retrolines"? cause im viewing it at 30 fps (P4 3Ghz), just wondering..

I was gunna ask the same thing, are we on schedule? It would be pretty amazing if a colaboration pack came out without the deadline needing to be extended

Jheriko, PAK-9 - Bombs Away (2 remixes in total)
MaTTFURY - Fire vs Water (5 remixes)
^..^ - Fire vs Water (1 remix)

*cough* weren't those "test-remixes" supposed to be put in the bin? Cause the remix actually isn't that awesome...

well, let's wait and see how extensive the pack gets with the planned presets + their remixes. Then we can still decide to add them...

they're not added in the pack. I just wanted to make the list complete.

ok. cause if we decided to add them i'd like to overwork mine a "tiny bit"... 😉

If MaTTFURY plans on adding retrolines, that includes him too then.
I'm still waiting for ishan and I'd like to have anoter preset from those who only submitted one so far if that's possible.

oh damn. i'm sorry.........i got too busy with my studies. I have two presets both of them are like crap......i dont mind if they dont get selected tho, coz i understand my AVS skills are not up to the standard.

Oh well......its upto you'll to judge that anyway.
