The second AVS tournament

I'll post the topic soon. First a few more details to work out:

1. How long should the time be to make the preset? 1 week sound good?
2. Since the point total is cumulative, can people join in after the first round and still be put in the competition? They'll be at a disadvantage of having missed rounds, and it will allow people who happened to not know that we were doing it to still be able to participate.
3. Once again, there is no three.😛

I guess it doesnt matter if you miss rounds now then.
A week sounds like easy enough time, though people seemed to not get it in time last time.. ie me..
oh well.. people miss out, its their own silly fault..

Oh, usually the third thing to look for would be the technicalness of it, not neccessarily groovy insano code, but just the techniques they have used to get the effects. .,.. but oyu might not want to judge on that in this thing.. seeing as there are many youngens here.

Either. Hell, you could have dreams about a damn unicorn. Just try to make it look like a dream cause that's what we judge a good bit of the preset on - it's ability to show the topic.

I've just finished something actually. 😁. I think i'll wait though, see what other ideas i can add/change about it.

Atero, it's not about dreaming about AVS presets. It's making an AVS preset that is like a dream. Elvis's dreamtime is a good example.

well UCD's camatose enlightment was a dreamy preset. "Dreamy" - by this we mean it should be slow,mesmerizing and have drugish(o_O) colours and not jumping around and fast presets.

I don't mind this topic... I have a great idea for a preset and one involving pointlessly complex SSC models. 😁

I think so, otherwise they'd need to exchange the presets.

We will need e-mail addresses to be posted here then. Or even better one of the judges could come along and be a bit more specific about whats happening since some people seem to think we are posting and others think we are e-mailing. It would certainly be better if we all did either one or the other and not both, thats for sure.

I thought we were doing that thing where we all send our presets to one person who renames them all to number so none of the judges know who did what preset?

Raz, if we're doing that, then whose the one who's going to recieve them all? We need someone to volunteer for that.

I sent a PM to ishan discussing the matter. Once us judges decide what we're going to do, one of us will let you all know. Until then, you can still make your presets(the topic won't change).

I might have not as much time for this as I wanted, cause my new computer is finally in. That means I got A LOT more on my head than avs. Also, school begins again in 2 weeks. Still, I'll see what I can do 🙂.
