ERROR Loading "******.***"

Ok, My buddy has AVS ver 2.4 and he's trying to play AVS presets I made into a pimp pack and sent to him through ICQ. All his other presets work, but mine all give the "ERROR Loading *****.***"(where the **'s are the avs's file names) message. Does someone have any idea as to what is going wrong here? I am using ver 2.5 and this is the only thing I can think of so far. I am going to make a new pimp pack and try that out too.

Version 2.5 does have new effects. If you included them in your presets, they will not work in an older version.

Update to the newest version and see if that fixes it. 🙂

Now, I can't remember where I got version 2.5, It seems to me it came with a preset pack, but Ican't seem to find it on my HD... could you direct me to it so he could find it as well?

That's odd

Particularily because he downloaded the latest version of winamp and got version 2.4 of AVS with it...

Copy "vis_avs.dll" to your buds computer and it should work, that's all that's needed 😁

A couple of good things..

1. It is the ninja month pack that contains the 2.5a3 version of winamp AVS.

2. Yes, copying vis_avs.dll works, but you have to copy vis_avs.dat too... If you only copy one, it doesn't work.


3. My buddy is now fully versed in configurating winamp.. heheheh
