I followed all the instructions, BUT IT STILL WON'T WORK!!

I am trying to pimp my stuff! I d-loaded the pimp program, followed all the instructions word for word (well, I had to change a few names to protect the innocent!) got all the way to the MSDOS part and I kept getting the all too familiar "bad command or file name". What went wrong?
Someone PUH-leez help!?! I got some fairly good stuff that I just wanna share with the world!

try useing winzip's self extractor (by makeing a .zip into a .exe (installer like))

Winamp rejects WinZip self-extractors.

Actually I've never used ms/dos when i've made my pimp files, i just go to *my computer*, the pimp cat, and drag the pimpdoc & drop it onto pimp.exe or whatever it's called... That's the exactly same thing.
