MiniLyrics must be installed

wow, this is so annoying.
I love the Visualizations but whenever I run them, that annoying message appears on the screen: "MiniLyrics must be installed . . . ." I went to the "spanner" icon at the bottom of the visualization window and found "minilyrics" and unticked the "enabled" box. But it won't remember this and the message reappears

for me it's not clear if you're talking about avs. if so, is it possible there is some kind of karaoke ape installed that needs to be removed? not that i'm aware of such an ape.
