Stupid question, again.

Alright, I have a decent effect set up, and I have a great Idea in my head as to what I want to do with it, but I'm not sure how to implement it.

Attached is the effect that I like, it looks a lot like one of the classic effects that has been dis-continued, but hey, I like it.

Anyway my question is, how do attach to the face of say a rotating cube or some such. There is more that the cube is going to do, but, I don't know how to make said cube/spheroid.

This might be the wrong forum, if so, I apologize. But, yeah, I need help!

what you want to do is using raytracing to project your preset on a cube.
