is there a visualization that displays the artist and track name ontop of the visualization?

I think there should be an option in the settings / fullscreen otherwise you can make your own in: render / text - $(title); (i think)

the text in render/text explains how to use playpos, playlen and title which are the magic words needed 🙂

In Milkdrop you can press F2 to toggle song display (or are you specifically referring to AVS?).
