Alpha-blending problemo

Please help me with a alpha problem i hav.Its a simple preset and what i wanna do is have the 'back' grid (turquoise) come every now and then in front of the red grid.I dunno if maybe its just a buffer trick or actual alpha-blending required🧟

A little help would be nice🙂

Dunno if you can do this in a different way, but i used alpha. Was my first thought. 🙂

Just for recollection:

alpha=0 => previous picture
alpha=1 => new image
alpha=0.5 => like 50/50 blendmode

So, what about this idea?

Seems not to match like you said, but now it blends more unpredictable. I made the blending when i was a bit in a hurry.

I was just tweaking it a bit, wanted to disable the turquoise thing behind the red layer if it is shown shown infront. Well unfortunately avs just crashed and im too lazy to rewrite it, sorry. 🙁
I will surely post it later..
