I've been thinking, how would you skinners like a PCM metering plugin? You could use it to display animations and other feedback to the player...

yup, that would be nice. unfortunately, there isn't any documentation about the scripting interface, and i'm not sure how to find out which player the plugin instance comes from.
so with that in mind, i've got a preliminary prototype that does work, but to interface with mscript i made a huge hack to work around the lack of documentation. let's just say you wouldn't want to have multiple players going at the same time .
if anyone has additional documentation about the plugin interface to mscript, i would be very grateful.
ALREADY DONE:
rms mag (per channel)
peak mag (per channel)
TODO:
-make it work properly with mscript
-fft functionality
-beat detection callbacks
-an interface through MSettings to enable/disable outputs.
i will put the source out some time in the very near future, just need some time for things to settle down on my end. hopefully it's extensible enough that others will easily be able to add other functionality...
