It is the latest (but not final!) version of my old AVS preset named "idio". Probably somebody remembers it...

Sorry, don't remember you. As for the preset, it's fairly good. You might want to use less non-configurable effects and more stuff like SSC's, DMs, and DDM's.

Well, it's energetic alright. I like the music response, but i agree that it's a bit too busy (too much different renders & effects all layered on top of each other).

whiteout... yeas, it's a problem sometimes.. It depends from resolution, fps and from music, of course. A 2GHz processor HIGHLY RECOMMENDED $-)
On my 1.87 Ghz Athlon in 344x190 i have 31-32 fps...
Also try check "clear every frame" in Main section, but then it turns very dim, fast and sharp. And then maybe, you'll want to switch Trans/Multiplier from 2x to 4x.
So, try this variations...

I develop and watch AVS on an Athalon 700. Can't afford a faster laptop and can't take my desktop with me. I was getting about 9 FPS.
