avs crashing winamp(not the comp)

Ok i downloaded the black and white avs(the game one which is available here on the winamp site also) and each time i go to run it it starts up but just as a picture starts loading it crashs and closes. im running xp pro 128 mb of ram pentium 3 160 hd think that about does it for hardware specs that may help.. anyways ive tried everythingi could think of and since im not a winamp guru i came asking. any one know why this happens (also im using winamp 2.8 if that helps at all). If this has been awnsered already just tell me the link and ill be greetfull.(ps i spent the last hour looking for this so i wouldnt start a new thread but i couldnt find anything or maybe i just didnt look in the right area..)(probely didnt spell it right o well). thanks.

AVS has had some considerable changes somewhat recently. Try getting the latest version with Winamp 5.01

Well it did allow me to use an old skin of mine upgradeing it but it still crashs winamp i dont get it lol.

I hope this tid bit of info helps figure out what hte problem may be here is what the error says: Plug-in executed illegal operation. Restart of Winamp is recommended(1).

Is it using one of teh non-stadard APEs? There was an issue with picture2 if you don't have the latest version. you can get it here

The old picture 2 ape only crashed mine when I looked at the config for it.

It always crashed mine if the picture wasn't present. Took me a while to figure out what was making it crash. 🙂
