my problem with avs is that i'm not good at math. does anyone of you have some tutorial on the basic math things i need to know to program things like superscope, dynamic movement etc.?
or could just explain the basic things to me?

If your not very mathematical, just dont do complex avs presets. If you dont understand what your making your better off not making it.

I didn't know anything about trigonometry when I started AVSing. The best way to learn something is to read the tutorials and look at other AVSers' code. It took me 6 months to start making 3D stuff 🙂
Stick to old skool presets, dont swim beyond your depth.argh, dont listen to that. the only way youll get anywhere is if you explore for yourself. The math involved isnt really very complicated, and you can work alot out just by studying other people code.

Basic comprehension of trigonometry is all you really need. The math stuff isn't so vital when compared to how useful your imagination is.
If you have years to waste... Then experimenting and common sense will get you far, depending how badly you want to learn it 🙂
I still don't know any math, but i can figure out that if i use x=x+1 in a movement, i understand that it shifts the image to the left/right a half a screen 🙂
