I got another idea for texer, this one is not so easy to code i gues but it would be cool and I gues it is posible. The thing on my mind is image fliping, when you scale the image with negative numbers.
With this function you could draw a bitmap of an arrow in eight directions with a single texer (useing a bitmap with three arows each in its own chanell and pointing in tree directions:Up,Right,RigtUp).

errr...you mean six directions, right?

btw it shouldn't be too hard to do this manually without having to make a seperate texer image...or you could just make a seperate texer image 😛

Atero, it's 8 - You can flip the rightup over the x or y axis.
That's the second stupid messup you did today... wtf? o_O

Anyways, I agree with j00 fsk - flipping 'd be pretty useful...

<edit> erg i forgot scaling works on both axes. but that still wouldn't get you a proper seperation for color channels, it still has to be six directions (if you're trying to do something like the psychadelic octopus or whatever it was that unconed did)

im not trying to do anything I just thought about this in context with this game mania. Anyway its just an idea. This forum is named wrong, anytime i have an idea i have to write some sort of dear santa letter🙂. And its still eight positions (up,down,left,right and another four between these):P.

there is NO POINT in doing color channels if you're doing it that way. there is likewise NO POINT in not simply making a new texer image.

Atero your posts dont make much sence to me lately. I gues im stupid or somethin but how the fuck would you do that without color chanells(I saw Zevensofts post and dunno how he does it)? But there is a bigg diference between useing one or two texers for the job. Its much easyer to code that way and saves space on the comp. and pack.
