One has to display a picture and the other needs to play a avi file. I don't want any effects. Can you also include a sample picture and avi file so I can copy thier properties.

1. open the avs plugin
2. double-click inside the avs window to open the editor
3. click on Main in the editon and active Clear every frame
4. click on the plus and select Render\Picture (or Render\Picture II) or AVI
5. click on the effect and load a bitmap/avi
to install the Picture II APE, download it and place it in the Winamp\Plugins\avs directory. there's also an APE that captures images from a connected webcam.

no, AVI and Render Picture are part of AVS (unlike Render II!)
AVS isn't the program to use to just display AVI's and pictures.
