AVS Not Responding to Audio CDs

I put a music CD in my computer and everything works fine, except when I turn AVS on, the presets do nothing. They appear on the screen, but do not react to music at all. Is this a common bug?

I tried that. I set it to the recording setting, and checked the CD Audio box, but it still didn't work.

Is standard beat detection enabled?
