How do I get off this crazy thing?!

Ok, I admit, I'm not proud I gotta post this... but... how do I turn AVS off??? Whenever I close the window, it pops back up on a new song. I've looked around vis settings and AVS settings but can't find out how to turn it all the way off.

preferences -> plugins. if you can't find it there, then, my friend, there is no hope for you.

whats funny is that the person had his question answered on the second post, yet the regulars have managed to keep argueing for another 6 odd.

I'm somehow reminded of that scene in monty pythons quest for the holy grail, when brave sir robin faces the three headed monster.
