We can have many tournaments, how about we concentrate on this one before our ambitions outgrow us eh. 🙂

The new contest hasn't been posted, so nothing's going on with this tournament. Let's all time ourselves and see who can eat a happy meal the fastest. That way everybody gets a prize.

Though I do agree with you, this is getting way to far off-topic, let the judges come up with the new topic fast before everyone is annoyed and not in the mood to go on anyway.

i don't understand.

there aint much to understand about it.
you just do a preset that suits that title, or that style..
up to you..
you could interpret it as a really hellish preset, or a really saintly preset (the devils nightmnare could be something that the devl fears).

so where to submit it?

Ok here it is: another peaceful night in heaven. If this isn't the greatest nightmare of the devil, I don't know it anymore. Watch the dark blue sky, the little cute clouds, the sexy falling stars, and of course: the cross, in all it's power.

didn't mean to diss the preset - I actually haven't looked at it yet. I am going to wait until I get all of them before I look at them - keep it a little more fair.

True. I hope you'll get them all in time, activity is quite low after releasing the new title. Though maybe that means everyone is working really hard on their presets.

I'm working hard on my preset, which will most likely be called "dance of the seraphim". The scopes, which already look amazing in my opinion, take up a lot of time to tweak for the best response. The problem with my preset is that a part of it only works in 320x200. That shouldn't be a problem if I say it in the comment, right?

Not with me, I've quite some presets which only work in square window sizes. Just put it clearly in the comment and you should be fine (I guess, it's of course still up to the judges)

Seraphim

Divine creatures from the Old Testament, associated with the Cherubim, and later taken to be angels. The root of Seraphim comes either from the Hebrew verb saraph ('to burn') or the Hebrew noun saraph (a fiery, flying serpent). Because the term appears several times with reference to the serpents encountered in the wilderness (Num. 21.8, Deut. 8.15; Isa. 14.29; 30.6), it has often been understood to refer to "fiery serpents." From this it has also often been proposed that the seraphim were serpentine in form and in some sense "fiery" creatures or associated with fire.

It is said that whoever lays eyes on a Seraph, he would instantly be incinerated due to the immense brightness of the Seraph. They are described as very tall, with six wings and four heads, one for of the cardinal directions. One pair of wings are for flying, one for covering their eyes (for even they may not look directly at God), and one for covering their feet (which is almost certainly a euphemism for genitalia). They are in the direct presence of God.

In Isaiah's call-vision in the Temple, he sees Seraphim surrounding the throne of God, singing praise to God; the "Thrice Holy" hymn (ch 6). In this instance they are angelic beings but in the Book of Numbers, seraph-snakes are sent to punish the Israelites.

Some of the Seraphim are Metatron, Kemuel, Nathanael, Gabriel, and Lucifer.

Optimal resolution 320x200 for text, the actual preset will work in any resolution.

Nice 🙂, though I don't see what it has to do with the topic, except the nice story you added. The preset looks great on the other hand. I'm not sure what it's supposed to look like (I run it with about 6 FPS) :s. Now let's see what the judges think, will they fall for beauty, or will they think it hasn't got to do enough with the topic?

Not enough with the topic? That research cost some time and I was trying to make something that looked like Seraphim. I originally had snake-like thingies, but they were too slow.

I was just about to edit my reply when I read this, having read the text more carefully and only then realising the depth of it. Should indeed have taken you quite some time to find that all out. Sorry skupers, I didn't mean to be so harsh (or wathever the word is, in Dutch, which you understand: lomp). Also the preset looks great, it also contains a shitload of quite some nice skills. It just didn't look like an angel to me, but then again, nobody knows how they look. I guess I expected something with wings and a golden ring on it's head or so. So, I take all my words back, and my excuses to skupers. It's a great preset with the best background I've yet seen. Congrats, I hope you accept my apoligies.

Because there's that damned problematic text in there. What is the concept with the "w" and "h" variables in the DM to make it the same, erm cant explain, like 80% of the window size for everything, for the window? I can't think, brain needs sleep.

edit: it looks more like "journey through the devil's digestive system" to me though 🙂 still very responsive and devilish, I'm not trying to say it's bad, the walls just remind me of what I saw in biology class with that pulsation and whatnot. Ok i'll stop now.
