The Thinger

Hi, I have downloaded a visualization from 📻 winamp.com called dejavue meter. It apears in the thinger window. I was told that I have to click the new button in the thinger to use this. I don't have a new button in the thinger. How do I turn this button on so that I may use this Visualation?🙁

We can't help, because we don't know that vis. This is the AVS board, which has nothing to do with dejavue meter (whatever that is). You could check the author's website (if he/she has one), send an email to the author, or post in the "other visualisations" forum.

If you had clicked on 'Visualisations' you would've ended up here.

Instead, you clicked on the AVS forums, whose title is:
"A space to talk about everything related to Winamp Advanced Visualization Studio"

By the way, if people hadn't bothered to reply I'm sure you'd have waited, and then replied in frustration that we were a bunch of morons who were too elitist to answer 'a simple question'.

Tell me, if you went into Bakery A to ask about a bread you bought at Bakery B, how do you think people would respond? And remember, those people are getting *paid* to service you. We're not.

Well put, UnConeD. JackDanuls, all we're asking is for you to look at what you're doing before you do it.

Ok moved to WA3 disc.

Drop a link to the download component and someone might be able to help you more.

Posted is a screenshot with the DeJaVU Meter icon in the Thinger. See attachment dejavuicon. Try clicking on the scroll buttons for more icons. You can also click & drag on the lower right corner of Thinger to expand it. Also try right clicking in an "empty space" of the main window, highlight/select Windows from the popup menu. DeJaVU Meter will be listed in the submenu. Try re-installing the component if you are not having any luck.

just as a side note, its still boggles my mind how many peoples actually USE DeJaVU Meter. i only coded it to learn a bit of the graphical API within Wasabi. spent maybe a day or two working on it...

The place for all Wasabi related development, either for Winamp 5.X, Wasabi Player or the defunct Winamp3. Talk to your fellow code warriors about Wasabi and Wasabi coding.

any further discussion of DeJaVU Meter, please post in that thread. i know it starts out as just the source code, but please, post any comments of questions at all there. i will be checking it more regularly than anything else.
