AVSatars

Okay, screw the cat (i know what you're thinking, you sick bastard). I wan an avsatar...I have my looping AVS, I have my AVI stream, I have my GIF animator...now what? I can't figure out how to get specific frames out of WiMP and into Adobe.

... 😕 someone help me out here...

and if it's been brought up before...i searched the forums and didn't find anything. so piss off. 😉

I don't think Adobe ImageReady can read .avi's. I know Jasc Animation Shop can. If you need to, you can give me the avi and I will make a gif out of it. Then you can edit it however you want.

actually i'm working it out...it took me a while to get the scopes to loop perfectly, but i did it - now i just need to get it at the right filesize (stupid forum limits 😠 )

Going through and deleting every other frame can help a lot. Also, jasc's optimization wizard is very nice.

<- You can imagine how much of a pain this one was... especially because on deviantart, the avatar HAS to be 50x50 so you can't cut down on image size.

yeah, well you've got a really smooth animation cos you could cut down on color depth 😉

That's nice atero. Moves too slowly though. Try decreasing the frame length(select all of the frames, right click, go to the properties).

Atero . . . you need something else to do other than worrying about your avatar. A hobby, or a job, or something.

Phaze, hardly the only one, besides animated avatars are cool if they are not too irritating. Like a animation that has two frames, one white & one black and the speed of the frame change is 0.07sec (the fastest speed IE can actually show) 😛
