I've recently begun playing around with the maths behind some of the effects, and I must confess it's been hard work remembering trigonometry from first principles. However, these effects are the results. They are intended as new renders for use in other presets, rather than as effects in themselves. Two points to note; firstly, in the rotary effects, you can change the speed and direction of rotation by adjusting the rate at which t changes (in the frame equations). The second point is the two point oscilloscope. As is, it don't look very impressive. However, what it does is allow you do specify any two points on screen and the oscilloscope will be scaled, rotated on plotted between. This is v. useful. Have fun with them, send me a copy of anything you come up with, and I'll send back whatever's in my current effects list in return.
