can anyone tell mehow to make random bmps appear one after another?
also, what makes milk drop run so much faster than avs, and whatever the reason why the hell doesn't avs do it?
has anyone played the game vib-ribbon? am I the only one who thinks it would make the best winamp plugin ever?
here is my first ever preset that doesn't look like a couple of dots and a line. (obviously, I didn't write any of the complicated maths stuff myself apart from just changing numbers at random, c'mon, what do you want from me, blood?)

random BMP - Easy, get the bmps that you want to use and turn them into AVI and use that
vib-ribbon - good game well good with dance music, it should of came out when the psx was alive

You do not have to be skillful like UnCloned or any other great person here, its art that you want to create that counts
but in time you will get better
I don't use milkdrops that much, but its very nice though :)

Use the search feature to locate several "Why is AVS so slow?"-threads. Someone should really make a FAQ for this forum...
(bluetape2k: mind the spelling... :))

Yep I agree - as long as you are not compromising on the quality of what you are trying to create, then why should it matter just how difficult it was to create it?
On the other hand, passing off 'random' crap (without any thought or much effort whatsoever) as a preset is another matter, and is not the mark of a true creator.
So my advice is to be true to the art. If you know you are, then you need not worry about other's judgements.

As to the random images, I was looking for such a thing a while ago and I just came acros an ape called "slideshow". It does bmp's jpegs etc etc with transition effects... you can find it at:
http://dreamnet.dyndns.org/~josh/code/winamp.phtml
I did find that the config page is very prone to crashing winamp... it helps if you don't have anything playing whilst you set the configs.. and if you enter the image path using the text box rather than the popup browser thingymebob...only tested this under xp.. not sure about other systems. Anywayz.. it doesn't crash whilst it's running.. just when you are configuring it :)
