Wonders of the AVS---First 10 Pack
Okie dokies, I'm already ready. Quick work, and lots of effects make for some really nice AVS (I hope anyways)

These mostly center around fireworks, however, Abstraction does not have fireworks.

There are 10 AVS's in this preset. It also includes the previously released 3-pack I had earlier.

Hope you like them!

Feeback is appreciated!

Aaron

i examined yo shit and this is what i think
you did all presets today i think
first you did firework nebula & firework glowers around 01:30 (CET)
then you did exploding nebula at 12:15 (CET) and the other presets is just remixes of some other preset you've done @ 13:20 (CET),
am i right???

listen 2 me when i say "varation"
you have to work on your presets

3rd January 2002 20:00 UTC

By the Way...
Try experimenting with the "movement" function on the "Heavenly Fireworks" AVS. I think that there are many sweet effects if you look at them all.

I especially like the effects of the "bleedin" one.

Makes everything go round and round ,and it makes a big circle in the middle, like the fireworks are forming a ball. Pretty neat!

3rd January 2002 20:06 UTC

Well, like I said. I'm very new at this, and the only thing I'm good at at this point is the fireworks. I'm just experimenting, and I thought I'd put some out to see what people thought.

Remember, I'm not a professional.

:)

3rd January 2002 20:19 UTC

well here's some tips 4 u, add some black fades sometimes, cut the effect list u use some times, effect list r used for medium-/advance avs:ing, some useful movement, with just the blend and bi filter checked and remeber that if you wanna learn more download some semiadavnced packs and learn from them, a tip is 2 download my "the blue pack", it has some simple presets, and some advanced presets.

3rd January 2002 20:22 UTC

Montana, dude, I don't know what you mean by variation, (well I do, but obviously you are looking for a broad range, which I said I'm not advanced enough to do yet, so dont bust my bubble), but, here is a different AVS.

There is still the spectrum ring, but I have added a movement factor, and I have taken out the fireworks, and I added a superscope to the picture, so now it looks like you are on the outside of a black hole, and are on the inside of a kaleidoscope at the same time.

Edited at 3:39 again...........

I just re-modified the picture by taking out the moving particle, and I changed around a couple of other effects to make this look better.

Kaleidoscope V 2.0

3rd January 2002 20:58 UTC

here's a remix 4 u

3rd January 2002 21:02 UTC

I'll check it out.

Did you like the original? You never said anything. Jes' wonderin.

:)

I have another one for you to check out if you want to see what it looks like. It's called SandScope.

3rd January 2002 21:04 UTC

Montana, the kaleidoscope remix is not too shabby! heheh.

It looks like there's more space around the kaleidoscope, like it's in space.

I rate it 4 :winamp: out of 5 :winamp:

3rd January 2002 21:36 UTC

or try mine..
go a head this is my 11th pack (and its also a volume for Blueblur5 incase your wondering)

oh BTW: there no installer in here, didnt feel like ziping the installer :D

3rd January 2002 22:36 UTC

Well, BlurPak, here are my reviews on each piece in your collection. Each number before the OF denotes how many points you got out of 5 possible.

Black and White----2 1/2 of 5
Blarg!-------------2 of 5
Chaos Theory-------2 1/2 of 5
Color Spiral Graph-3 1/2 of 5
Dbl. Back. Blur----3 1/2 of 5
Drug Drive---------3 1/2 of 5
Even More Bcknds.--2 of 5 (I think the lines are too thin, for a better effect, on the bass spin config, change it from lines, to filled triangles)
Eye Sore-----------3 of 5
Eye Ball-----------2 1/2 of 5 (Some sort of blur would make it look better ,I think, personally)
Flashes of Light---3 1/2 of 5
Flying Links-------3 1/2 of 5
Fractical Blur-----3 1/2 of 5
I'm Bored----------4 of 5 (not the most pleasing to the eye, but good effects)
Infrared-----------4 1/2 of 5 (very nice)
Ink Blotter--------3 1/2 of 5 (looks like a really dark lava lamp pulsating...not bad)
Intence Blur-------3 of 5 (too many colors for me)
Mixer--------------3 of 5 (man they gotta do something with those awful bass spin things, I'm not fond of them ,heheh)
More Bgrnd. FX-----4 1/2 of 5 (very nice)
More Dbl BK Blur---3 1/2 of 5
Seems Corny--------2 1/2 of 5 (advertising, LOL)
Rays---------------4 :winamp: of 5 :winamp:
Real Spectrum II---3 1/2 of 5
Rotating BALLS-----3 of 5 (hmmmmm)
Simple-------------2 of 5 (its not very appealing to me)
Star Pool----------3 1/2 of 5 (appropriately named)
Strange Text-------3 1/2 of 5 (yes, strange, but interesting)
Vortex-------------2 of 5 (nyehh)
Zoning Out --------4 of 5 (appropriately named)

I give the entire pack a 3 :winamp: out of 5 :winamp: .

I think you need to work on the color adjustments in some of the AVS

files, especially the Vortex one. They look a bit too dark.

My fave was the infrared, because the colors were very vivid, and it was very interesting.

4th January 2002 12:55 UTC

yo aaron, check this remix of sand scope out

message 2 blurpak2k1 >>
your whole pack sucks

4th January 2002 18:31 UTC

Wowzers!
By golly, Montana, I think thats the best remix you've done of my AVS's yet!

Nice job!

4 1/2 :winamp: of 5 :winamp:

4th January 2002 18:34 UTC

Now, I would ask that you would do something for me with this preset.

I might not be able to do it myself, but I'm gonna try. I would like for the background and the rings to change colors. Maybe also put a bit of colorfade into the picture and play around with that and see what you can come up with :)

well i do admint i looked over a little of your "blue" pack it do did have some very nice effects in there. :)

but trust me my blurpak 11 is far much better the blurpak ;)

p.s.:
Even though im not but complete stright out reveiws like that do get some authors pissed like that and will give you a bad review in return. So next time be little more considerate and give out a little more specific reasons to what parts of what avs-packs "suck" and what could be changed or what areas of thier style could be developed a bit more, instead of saying the "whole thing sucks", because even you should agree that everybody has thei own style and liking to their presets. Im just saying incase that no one should get pissed at you for any of that, okay?

6th January 2002 13:24 UTC

i think your packed sucked coz you didn't make anything nice(according 2 me), u had some original shit done but itt was'nt enough 2 lift the whole pack up.
i say 3 :winamp:'s outta 5 :winamp:'s

happy now

13th January 2002 00:19 UTC

Alright! Bluetape to the Rescue! :D

13th January 2002 18:38 UTC

Hey Aaron, review each piece of this collection :D :
http://www.winamp.com/components/det...ponentId=75558

It's a bit old, but it's still my newest (No.4 is comming soon).

13th January 2002 22:08 UTC

You Asked For It, You Got It! lol
Here comes a review of each AND every piece of your pack.

Another Carillon 2 ---3 Stars out of 5 Stars
Arctic 3---CTF RMX----4 Stars out of 5 Stars---Beautiful Green!
Arctic 3--------------4 Stars out of 5 Stars
Ghost Caterpillars----3 Stars out of 5 Stars---Interesting....
Black Hole 2----------3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars---Looks like a Wsh Mach.
Blurry W/O Blur B-----3 Stars out of 5 Stars
DVA Superscopa C------3 Stars out of 5 Stars
Eye of the Beholder 3-3 1/3 Stars of 5 Stars
Gamma-----------------4 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars--Remember, I LOVE blends
Highway---------------3 3/4 Stars of 5 Stars--Interesting Again...
Jenny Mcarthy---------3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars--Words have to be there?
LSD 2-----------------4 Stars of 5 Stars
Monochrome Madness----4 Stars of 5 Stars
Pistaccio 2-----------3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars
SBW3W/0VFBRMX2FMRMX---4 Stars of 5 Stars
SBW3W/0VFBRMX2--------4 Stars of 5 Stars
SBW3W/0VFCOOLRMX------4 Stars of 5 Stars
SBW3W/0VFRMX2---------3 Stars of 5 Stars----not all that interesting
SimpleSummerRemix-----4 Stars of 5 Stars
SketchyvsMoonAmp------3 3/4 Stars of 5 Stars
Sonne-----------------3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars
Summer Jam 2----------2 1/4 Stars of 5 Stars---Too bright
Super-----------------3 3/4 Stars of 5 Stars---not bad :)
Ultimate Remix--------4 Stars of 5 Stars
Tonic's Cool 2--------4 3/4 Stars of 5 Stars
Tornado---------------3 Stars of 5 Stars-------not a tornado :)
Wierdey---------------3 Stars of 5 Stars-------yes, weird
Yet Another Blue PRS--3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars
Yet Another B&W PRS---3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

Well, overall, this pack has to get a 4 of 5. Some of the presets take down on the quality of the pack overall, but, this pack is definitely worth downloading.

I think you could tweak your tornado a bit more and make a bit more drastic of an effect. Also, try changing the colors, and adding a movement or maybe even a color clip OR unique tone into your "Summer Jam 2"

4 out of 5 Stars........Good Job! :)

14th January 2002 09:15 UTC

Most people rated it higher, but it's ok, it IS my OLD pack :D:D. I see you like Gamma and Tonic's cool 2 most, they certainly are some of my best presets, hmm you don't like Summer Jam and Tornado, most people didn't like Tornado too, but Summer Jam ? Oh, well.

14th January 2002 16:12 UTC

My pack..
So, aaron you like to stuff so could you tell me what do you
think about this :D :

Complete Review
In each one, I will give my individual review. It will take a while to look at, but will have more input, hopefully giving you a few points on what to do next :)

Here we go :)

Bass---------Interesting combination of monochromatic colors. I like the movement, I think it could be a bit slower, but overall it is a decent preset. Score----3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

Blood Storm--Yet another interesting preset, although I don't like the name. Something like Lava Storm or Airborne Lava sounds nicer. Nice graphical effects. Score----4 Stars of 5 Stars

Bubbling DM--Hmm....all of these presets are interesting so far! I like the swirl effect! Now if you can make more color combinations!
I give this one a 3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

Burnout-------Normally lines like that would get in the way, but it fits in well with this preset. The water bump also adds a nice motion effect. Maybe a bit more colorfade? Just a suggestion.
Overall another nice preset. Score---- 3 3/4 Stars of 5 Stars

Chasing the Dragon----Almost looks like a big junky galaxy with multi colored stars. I like it, though! Good preset. I give it 3 3/4 Stars of 5 Stars

Disco Ball-----This one certainly lives up to its name. Since that is true, I give it a 4 1/2 Stars out of 5 Stars....oh, by the way, try mixing in the mosaic effect on that one. It creates a great disco ball effect.

Frozen Screen----Hmm...interesting name. Almost looks like some sort of cosmic explosion fading to white. Not a bad preset, but it can be worked with a bit more. 3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

Heaven 2------I don't like the color scheme used here. They just don't go well together in my opinion. The effects are simple, and nice, but the colors drag down the overall rating. Score----3 Stars of 5 Stars

Heaven-------Looks like big neon fuzzballs! LOL...This scheme is much better than the second one. Better score too. Score----4 Stars of 5 Stars

Incobus 2----Nyeh, I'm not all that impressed with it. Its too "rough around the edges" for me. Score----2 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

Incobus------Better than the second one. More effects and the colors go better together. I like it. 3 Stars of 5 Stars

Leak-------What about calling it Wet Paint? LOL...Everything is going so fast that it looks like someone is sloshing big buckets of paint on a white wall. Good colors and effects. Score----3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

Left Behind----Awesome! Spectacular shapes and graphical effects make this one of the best in the pack so far. Nice work. Score----4 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

Lost in Space---What about getting rid of that periodic stop in beat? I think it would look better as just a continual flow. Very simple preset. Score----3 1/4 Stars of 5 Stars

My 3D------Quite simple, good effects, looks like an infinite loop of rings connected. Simple, nice, cute. Score----3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

Poisonous Flower----Yes, a nice preset. What this preset lacks, though, is a release of a color from the flowers' center, as if it is emitting a poisonous substance. Maybe purple or red? Make something spew from the middle to make this preset the best it can be. Score---- 4 Stars of 5 Stars

Power Ball-----Not really a "ball". Not bad effects, though. Simple and nice preset. Score----3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

Roller-------Interesting. Looks like dim neon floating around. Score----3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

Rubber---How about Big Soap Bubble? LOL. That's what it looks like, because it is casting a reflection of its atmosphere onto the screen.
Nice preset. Score----4 Stars of 5 Stars

Star of Destruction-----Good one, good one. It really IS a star, too! LOL.....Score----4 Stars of 5 Stars

Trust Me------Nice, although I'd much rather have a different name for it, like Spearmint Kaleidoscope or somethin'. Score----4 Stars of 5 Stars

Turn Me On 2---Interesting combination of colors and movement effects. Score-----3 3/4 Stars of 5 Stars

Turn Me On-----Better shapes, but speed is too fast. Slow it down, and it has a better chance of really "turning me on". Score---3 3/4 Stars of 5 Stars

Unmasked-------Great preset. Nice blocky partial out use. Score----4 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

Vision------Interesting, but the presets are starting to get repetitive. Something more interesting perhaps? Score---3 Stars of 5 Stars

Waves------Nice preset. I would like it to be a bit lighter in the background. Score----3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

Weird Objects-----And that they are. Weird preset. Score----3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

What a Mess-------Despite the name, it is not a mess of a preset. Beautiful color choice. Score----4 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars

Xploding Sun------Good choice for a name. I like the preset too. Score---- 4 Stars of 5 Stars

Zeus----Too similar to many other presets you have in this pack. It's okay, but not as creative as some. Score----3 Stars of 5 Stars

Overall, this pack gets a score of 4 of 5 Stars, or 80 % . It's hard to get 5/5. LOL.

Creativity Score nets a 3 1/2 Stars of 5 Stars...there were many presets that looked too similar to others in the pack.

Name choice score----Some of the names weren't what I would call "fitting", but names arent the most important part of the pack. Score----4 Stars of 5 Stars.

Good job with this pack! Keep up the good work, and keep experimenting!

16th January 2002 10:59 UTC

aaron>> the big problems with your review's is that you only grade'em 2½ - 4½ stars outta 5, just use integers man

16th January 2002 16:29 UTC

integers?

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH. You actually used a word that was eight letters!

lol.

So, now you want to pick on me, I see......

That is okay, you cannot bother me with your words. HARHARHARHARHAR.

I'm sure you're prolly the only one griping about my reviews, and if you really want to know something, honestly, most of these people around here are happy to get feedback, and I don't think they really care about half digits.

It is appropriate in quite often many cases, because some presets don't meet the full star.

I can't and won't explain myself any further.

:)

16th January 2002 19:03 UTC

look this how i see how 2 grade shit

1 stars: bad shit
2 stars: between bad shit and ok shit
3 stars: ok shit
4 stars: between ok shit and nice shit
5 stars: nice shit

and as i see it, u ain't got nuffin 'gainst me
boy, who ya tryin front?

16th January 2002 20:27 UTC

I aint trying to front nobody.

I just ain't the same as you. That's all. Live with it. :)

If I don't have anything against you, then you have no reason to think I'm angry at you.

1 Stars----Bad
1 1/2 Stars--------Bad but not a disaster.
2 Stars-----Poor design, many flaws, could be tweaked a lot.
2 1/2 Stars-----Weak preset. Has a few good points, but overall is nyeh.....not that good, but not really bad either.
3 Stars----Average.
3 1/2 Stars---Slightly better than average.
3 3/4 Stars-----Fairly nice preset. Overall nice, but a couple places needs tweaking.
4 Stars----Nice preset. Minor flaws in color, etc.
4 1/2 Stars-----Very good preset. Only very slightly noticable flaws.
4 3/4 Stars-----Fabulous preset, but not perfect.
5 Stars----------Perfect preset.

Now do you understand how I review?

16th January 2002 20:36 UTC

Listen Montana, noone is trying to front you and Aaron should grade shit as you say it the way he did and the way he wants to, it seems you try to start a flame war with every post you make.

Oh yeah, I wanted to say this for some time..... WHY THE FUCK DID YOU HAVE TO PUT THAT FUCKING 700kb AVI IN EVERY PACK YOU MADE !!!!:hang:  .

16th January 2002 20:38 UTC

Oh, by the way.

Dude, you don't have to believe everything I say. Reviews are just that...reviews by other people, who obviously have different opinions than you do.

You are not always going to agree with what I put, or how many stars I give a preset.

That's just life......

17th January 2002 16:02 UTC

why i put 700 kb vids in my pack,
that's a signature style of mine
i do shit my way

17th January 2002 17:26 UTC

MAN!

All guys here EXCEPT Montana: You're VERY easy. If I had to talk with Montana this way, i would already killed him...like doggy dog said, it _REALLY_ seems that he wants to start a flame war with every post he's writing... :weird:

...

uhyeah, reviews following later :D

p.s. I wonder what montana says :D

17th January 2002 19:09 UTC

i don't wanna start a flame war but i'm do not like a certain artist because i have been nice to this artist and helped him very much and then when the artist starts to get good the artist thinks that (he/she) is the best that there is.

but i wanna quote tony montana (from the movie scarface)

You wanna fuck with me? Okay,
You wanna play rough? Okay,
Say hello to my little friend

17th January 2002 19:16 UTC

Montana, you are being very judgmental.

Why would you think I think I'm the best there is?

Whether you realize it or not, I know what you're thinking.

If youre not talking about me, then, well, nevermind....but if you are.......

I certainly don't think I'm the best there is, and I don't think I'll ever be able to live up to some of the greats in the AVS society.

Just because I have more supporters than you do (supposedly, not a fact), doesn't mean that I'm better at this than you are.

I appreciate your help, but, I'm not trying to boost my ego here. I would like to get more experience with AVS, and yes, my confidence is being boosted, but that doesnt mean I think I'm AVS god.

I don't think anyone would disagree with me on this one.

17th January 2002 19:19 UTC

why would i be talking about you aaron?
it could be anyone

17th January 2002 19:22 UTC

well, because me and you have been the subject of the post for about the past day.

17th January 2002 19:28 UTC

honestly i was talking about you, ok you arent a avs god but you are sticking your head in other peoples asses,

(dont understand that, rent scarface and you do)

17th January 2002 19:38 UTC

No im not sticking my head in other people's asses.

It's called respect.

I've been on boards before where people liked to argue.

I'm not even gonna go there.

How old are you, Montana? 15?

You must think this world of AVS creators are younger than you.

You are soo wrong.......

17th January 2002 20:17 UTC

This is really getting out of hand boys. This is the AVS Discussion board and I think we can all act a little bit more civilized. Right now we are all kind of acting like gripping old ladies. The subject isn't even remotely similar to AVS anymore, it's just a bunch of bitching back and forth. I will agree, it does seem as if montana is always trying to stir up some trouble. Either he's downrating someone, acting like he the word on AVS, or using that stupid ghetto slang (Which is something else seeing that he's from sweden. Is there even black people in sweden or just imported gangster rap?) and typing poorly. The only way to handle the actions of such people is to just ignore them. Pretend as if they don't exist. One of two things will happen. Either they will leave, or they will straighten up (which would be much more preferable, Montana, because nobody really wants you to leave). That is what I propose we do to handle the situation. If Montana acts out of hand, we should all just ignore him. This is a message board, it is very easy just to skip over his posts or add him the ignore list. If Montana wants to act like an adult, we should all make it known that he is still very welcome here.

I want to repeat: Montana, don't take any of this personal. You are very welcome here, but your actions need to reflect more maturity. You accuse Aaron of sticking his head up peoples butt, but you do the same thing ALL THE TIME. Please, just try to act more adult. Thats all I have to say on this subject. Now lets get back to talking about visualizations gentlemen.

17th January 2002 20:22 UTC

Solamon?

"gripping" old ladies? HARHARHARHARHARHAR

:D :D

:) :p

17th January 2002 21:58 UTC

solamon:

/me searches for the 'Ignore'-List. :D

18th January 2002 11:36 UTC

sol>> of course there is black ppl in sweden, i have been with black ppl all my life, they're my niggaz and i always down with them. i am swedishborn syriac if you like to know

all y'all ppl who try to say i'm 12,15 or whatever,
i am 18 and sometimes acting immature but that's who da fuck i am

and i do not wanna stir up problem and rember if you don't wanna see what i'm writing there is a ignore button
