AVS Ripping
i'm a busy avs:er (even though i have total idea loss right now), so i often remix many presets for myself, but if i want to use that remix in one of my avs packs, is that a rip?
i often give credit 2 the original maker, but i don't steal such elaboritive code used in dyn movements.
so where does the line gets drawn?
what is a rip and what is a remix?

Remixes are typically put in the original author's preset pack. Contact them and give credit if you want to use a version of their preset in your pack or a movement/superscope or something. Rips may have copied superscopes/movemensts or entire presets. The difference is mainly permission and credit.

Well, yes.Usually remixes are published in the original authors' albums(sometimes by request),but the usual is not a law.Sometimes two or more authors unite to make an album with remixing of each other's presets.Ofcourse if you want to create a pack of remixes you should ask each outhor for his permission and i am sure nobody will deny you as long as you give him credit.Enough credit i'd say. Some of us are snobs.Hail me hehe.
Ok cya soon :D
(oh and remixing-it's mainly a way to get to know with the program and define your style.then you can start with your own interpretation of art :)

and give links to the original author's stuff(also say how awesome his stuff is:D :D :D )
