Archive: illegal AVI?

26th July 2001 22:54 UTC

why won't my avs 2.5 (with winamp 2.76) run visualizations that contain AVI? whenever i try to run one with it, winamp performs an Illegal Operation, and shuts itself down. is it an error with the specific AVI stream or with the visualization studio?

You both should update the avs-plugin first, and if that won't work try another avi-file :)

BTW this thread was well over three years dead, I am positive if you had searched (which I am pretty sure you did to find this antique), you would have found something alot more useful then this thread.

No ideas about the AVIs, as a side note note why would anybody want to put an AVI in their presets? Secondly, why are so many people asking about this lately?

//edit
AND matt-fury, why did you revive this thread again just to tell say he used the wrong vB code....
