Hi!
If you haven't heard this already, you should go and change the visualization priority to idle,, that helps a bit, I myself have an Authentic AMD Duron 750, 256MB mem, radeon 64mb, and had the same problem, but updating all videodrivers and setting the vispriority to idle helped, and now there ain't a prob anymore :)
Good Luck,, You're gonna need it ;D

And my Coolermaster was disfunctional also,, now everything is cool with my bucket'o'bolts :)
Glad to be of assistance,, which in this case turned out to be somesort of laughtery :P:)

Well :)
No,, I just noticed it(that they're linked,, or were)
But it could be any of the other reasons too :)
I've used winamp since I was a little brat, Never [until now] has there been any problems with avs.
I do believe that it is much too resource consuming, but also a lot of fun to play with,, well I like my own Visplugins better, but had to comment on that poor fellows situation,, here's a tip for AHTOH,, wasn't it: buy a new machine :)
