Any chance of SMP support for AVS?
The visuals on my system max out one CPU to 100%,
while the other cpu sits idle crying "give me a
piece of winamp!!!" but it can't... =)

Symmetric Multi-Processor. m1kem77 has a dual-processor station.
But I believe AVS rendering is done with just one thread, so...

solution : run 2 instances of winamp :p

SMP for AVS
Seems like a lot of uneducated people out there... SMP is Multi-processing, and if you think chick's dig a PIII-1GHz, try having TWO 1GHz CPUs... the girls go wild...
er.r... anyway, back to reality.
i'm aware WinAMP is threaded. Win2K splits the AVS onto one CPU and the MP3 decoding is handled on the other.... but the mp3 decoding consumes about 3%...
i dun care about running two instances of winamp... i just want one REALLY REALLY FAST instance. =)

dual-coolness =)
one nice thing about dual cpu'z is u can play counter-strike with no frame-drops or lag, and having Winamp/AVS on the second monitor... also with no lag.
hehehe... great for fragging ppl and getting into a psychedlic state of mind.... =P

dual athons
heheh... yeah.
a cost-effective dual-processor solution. =)
i waited for that... but gave up.
hey sawg...how did u get to be a moderator?
is the 'saw' bit short for a chainsaw? ;-)
