Problems with 2.81
Greetings
My AVS isn't working. All I see with most visualizations is a black screen, or tops a few circles etc. Sometimes, it even crashes winamp
It's a pitty because I used to enjoy this visualization very much. Milkdrop and Tiny Fullscreen seem to work without problems.
My versions
OS Windows 7 ultimate 64bit
Winamp 5.61
AVS 2.81d

Try: Disabling Aero (if you're running AVS in fullscreen mode)
Also there are several threads on AVS not working properly for people on newer windows OSes, please have a search/read of them.

What QOAL said and go back to 5.58.
Something in the newer winamp versions wrecks AVS

CHAVS runs fine for me with 5.62 and win7 64. (Other than any documented issues with it)
So :/

people wanted 2.81d back so they got 2.81d back and now bitching it's borked (not aimed at Caladan10) though that was known to be the case when not using 2.83 which yes broke presets but fixed the core issue causing it to crash on Vista / Windows 7.
time for me to try to push AVS to be provided just as a separate download!

Hey guys, I know I've been inactive for a long time.
I'm now a club DJ/remixer & am thinking of getting back into VJ work.
But this is irrelevant to this post.
Could a mod please make a sticky post about the compatibility issues with the new versions of AVS/winamp, as I myself had this question & am seeing this question pop up rather frequently?
