How to use APEs

I am wondering if someone could tell me how to use APEs in visualizations =)

put the .ape file in your /avs directory.
start avs, open the editor, click on the + button and hunt through the menus for your ape.

You want to use an APE for something outside of AVS.

Unfortunately plugins don't work this way. As a rule of thumb if plugin A is for software X then it won't work on software Y.

There are some exceptions... not very many at all.
