AVS plugins
so im having a big ass house party on fri. i want to put some visuals on my pc. was wondering if there were any plugins available that allow you to password protect it as i dont want people fucking around with the comp. ta.

AFAIK no.
You could always hide the keyboard and mouse once its all started. :)

itunes and wmp have a partymode, which locks the entire player.. would be surprised if there's no winamp plugin doing that

I saw that one too but it only generates the password when you open winamp. He needs it while winamp is playing.

I know this is kind of late, but I have tried this and it works. Set your screensaver to blank, and password protect it. Go to the display options on avs editor. Enable overlay mode and change the overlay color to pure black (0,0,0). Run avs when needed and turn on your screensaver. Tada! I find this is a good Idea for anybody with a simular problem in the future. Oh and be sure to change the overlay color back to default when you're done, so black text and stuff doesn't show visualizations on it.
