Pseudo Chrome
I don't know how everyone else makes chrome presets, but i tried and came up with this funky thing. Does it look like chrome or what?

Doesn't really have that chrome effect... which is quite easy to get with color map. Put it all in an effect list, add a color map that goes black white black white. Voila, chrome.

Thanks, i'll try that. At what position in the effect list should the color map be?

How's this? Totally different preset, but i think it has that chrome look. What do you think?

That chrome look is like that just beacuase of the colour map.

That was my intention. Is there another method to get the chrome effect?

or
try the chorming effect from multi filter.
but be warned it can be hard to make it look right.
you don't get to change the settings on it but you can add other effects to it. -_-' jeese that sounded stupid huh.

Thanks. I tried the chrome effects in multifilter, but my efforts didn't look at all like chrome, they looked like crap!! :-)

I'll have to tinker with it some more.

Hey, i finally got Multi-Filter to look halfway decent, without colormap. Thanks guys.

Make sure you set the colormap to additive too.

Here's a preset that you can look into, it has nothing too difficult

From my Stronotonic III pack...

I really should make a new version of this preset though, because this breaks in far too many occasions now :(

I recommend you view it in 320x240 or in 400x300.

Anyway, there's many ways to get a chromy effect and you don't even necessarily need the color map for it although it is without doubt the most easy way to do it. Note that in this preset the colormap is simply used instead of a uniquetone+brightness filter.

@Wotl, cool preset! I wonder why i haven't seen it before

try this kind of preset layout:

main
\-(preset...)
\-effectlist (in:replace) (out:subtractive 2)
| \- multiplier x2 (fast brightness x2)
\-multiplier x2 (fast brightness x2)
