From the AVS Frequently Asked Questions

Question #12: How can I capture the output of AVS as a video/movie file?

AVS doesn't have this function built-in, but there are currently 2 APEs (AVS plug-in effects, see Question #5) that can capture the video of AVS to an .AVI file. After inserting one them at the end of the preset you want to capture, you can configure and control it through the component's configuration dialog (on the right hand side).
Note that these will only allow you to capture one preset at a time and will not capture transitions. If you have a problem with one of these, you should probably contact the author of the APE rather than posting your question in these forums.

All answers on how to configure AVSGrabber are lying just infront of you:

You only have to SEARCH a bit!

well thats helpful....gaddayam

ok...i'll search some......if i come back though i wont be impressed

and i hope you'll answer my friggen question if need be

geez u people in here dont muck around with ur searchin crap do ya

friggen audio forums are never this narky....but anyway

im happy i jus got the visualisations as my background lol...thats rad

Well, what would you say if you had to answer the exact same questions over and over again? I mean there are quite a few threads here in the AVS section dealing with the AVSGrabber and how to use it.
Please don't get me wrong, but at a certain point we just don't want to repeat ourselves for the twentieth time just because some people can't or maybe don't try to find the explanations on their own. (Though they are quite easy to be found, actually.)

......woulda been soooo much easier if someone had said that the grabber option came under the tab of "misc"

(lucky i stumbled upon it...and no it wasnt in any of the wonderful search results)

lol....cheers for all the friggen help

Hmm strange, if i want to know how to configure the AVSGrabber i'd usually use "configure" and "AVSGrabber" as my search parameters. And voilá, the second result explains it just so fine! This really is a wonderful result!

i wasnt making you answer.....

but thanks for doing so anyway

i'll have to be more specific about my questioning...i onyl wanted that one simple thing.....to record current visualisations......

ah well

30th October 2005 12:20 UTC

Well i just couldn't believe that there is no thread with explanations on it. At least there are 37 threads about "AVSGrabber" and another 24 results on how to get "AVI output" from an "AVS" file.

30th October 2005 12:34 UTC

lol..it still doesnt say.....click on the "misc" tab

for someone who has used winamp for a few years (myself for example)....but never looked into the visualisations section properly....i know itd be nice to have clear instructions when it comes to doin more than basic things for starters

but ah well......wanna keep going?

im appreciative of what i have found....but i only attribute it to the first response i got .....no need to go snapping at the poor new boy.........if ur gettin that narky bout people askin the same questions.....it aint that hard just to go

-search

.....in a quick reply box...if thats the answer ur gunna give.....dont need the emo crap too

I don't think anyone here is emotional rather than you, were just bored to the bone of people who can't do a little self-study or even search for answers.

We all had to learn all this shit ourselves, we ask nothing from you we haven't done ourselves.
