New preset by ASD5A
I am searching for reviews, hints and a better name for the preset

29th October 2005 22:31 UTC

wow.. are those worms available in petstores?
I really like this one.. the colors are good, if a bit flat on the background. Yet without it, you'd lose the contrast with the texer lines

A better name.. Athletic worms?
I don't really like the worm part in it because it's overused, but perhaps you have a fun alternative?

29th October 2005 22:47 UTC

I like it, fairly solid, better than the original...

just make sure all the frame rate dependancies are removed

Thx for the reply.
Alternative version is available!
I am still searching for a new name and dont come along with stuff like "diarrhea" like Pak-9 did.
If i dont find a funny alternative for the worms ill add fancy 3d-dm stuff

too messy.. i prefer the first one.
yea it's look like a worm.. cool!!

Looks awfully familiar...
But then again, i ripped the idea from nemoorange also :p

Fairly decent, don't fancy the colormap setting which is probably the reason im not too excited about the preset.

30th October 2005 15:08 UTC

That's a nice one!
But it could profit from more subtle colors imo.

How about "Neo-Rokoko" [Voluten, Schnörkel und so...]

30th October 2005 16:11 UTC

Yeah, really like that one too! But i also think that the colours are too strong. Maybe think of an old drawing (like a yellowed parchment or so).

And for the name, what about something like "Arabesque Rolls" or maybe just "Schöne Schnörkel"? (sorry for stealing the idea Grandchild :p )

lovely, but why use channelshift?

1st November 2005 19:57 UTC

I'm outraged ^..^! :hang:

;)

btw. nice title proposal "Schöne Schnörkel" lol! just so... naive-kind-of-way to boast about!

1st November 2005 20:28 UTC

Yeah, actually i don't think that titles necessarily have to be in English. I mean, there are quite a few German or German-speaking artists around.
So, no need to hide, right? ;)

1st November 2005 20:34 UTC

Not to mention Finnish :p

I've named a few presets in Finnish, "Panemua", "Putki" & "Tanssiva Mies" pop into mind, might be a few others too, but i've made so many presets in the years i can't remember anymore.

Somebody handle the gramps a walking stick :blah:

funny you mention it ^..^, where I have just completed a [imo cool] preset named "pauschaltourismus" yesterday!

/me adds yathosho__dopsballfieber.avs :D

"Pauschaltourismus"? lol, i'd like to see that! :)

hmm, the only German-titled presets i made are in my n00b-presets folder (and at least one and a half years old).
Guess their names show how simple/n00bish they are:
Eisklötze, Goldrausch und Sternenwolke! ;)

2nd November 2005 15:13 UTC

~99% of all my Dutch titled presets:
misschienkennikerwatmee a
misschienkennikerwatmee b
misschienkennikerwatmee c
misschienkennikerwatmee d

all 4 years old, and yes they're tests

2nd November 2005 16:15 UTC

hmm... 4 presets = 99% => 1 preset = 24,75%

then, what might be the missing 1%?

:p

2nd November 2005 18:14 UTC

A VEEEERY cheap remix of "misschienkennikerwatmee a" :)

/me sings the "Let's blather offtopic for a better world" song ;)

PS: for my oh-so-german preset you'll have to wait for my 3rd pack :p !
