OMG I TEH LOVEORZ YOU!

You did an outstanding job. Amazing. I now know how the hell raytracing really works rather than messing around with my crappy math. Thanks!

7th October 2004 17:18 UTC

Hmm, well I didnt really include anything about raytracing, just the 3D before it. I should really add a bit about how to sit down and calculate a raytrace parameter... but my maths isnt really that great.

Maybe this should be made into a sticky, or something like that. Might be an idea for a thread, AVS Coding Resources, put some direct links to this one, Atero's primer, and pir's one.

9th November 2004 14:48 UTC

er... what?

I just read toasts post and I agree it would be a good idea to sticky all the guides availible.

I haven't posted since this thread was revived.

...Isnt this thread going to be stickyfied? :(
Cos it should be.

19th November 2004 09:16 UTC

I think a different thread with links to other guides as well would be more appropriate

When are you going to do the triangle explanation for the guide? Because I'm am even more clueless on that than on DM's. Oh and could you explain stuff like gettime as well?

19th November 2004 23:12 UTC

yeah i got the plug-in and no-info on how to use it!

22nd November 2004 11:54 UTC

I am currently updating the guide to include triangle ape and some other stuff... I'll try and include stuff about gettime, but it doesnt really fit into a catagory and I dont want to start explaining every function.

Gettime is simple! there no more to it than what it says in the help

29th December 2004 06:57 UTC

could you fill me in on some info on the "Texer II" ?? please anyone? expellidilition@gmail.com <-- contact

29th December 2004 08:28 UTC

This was the last straw. I was kind enough to you till this time.

NO, no one will "fill in" some info for you. learn yourself bitch. i have had no idea how the hell to make superscopes, and guess what, I waited and experimented and learned and at last, I can make a decent scope today. not much complex (though the others say they may be complicated :)) but they look good. i know also 3D - yes I do. I have tasted math books myself a hundred times. learned geometrics, trigonometry, vectors and all this other shit. do this yourself. LEARN. dunno for how long have you been avsing (i guess not so long time), but I spent 2 years on learning, without any help from the community. shut up and learn. if you know something, you can come back and ask a straight question about anything reasonable. you find any info about globally he texer2 in the built-in examples in AVS anyway.

btw. sorry for starting this in a sticky, I just had enough.

is the wordpad document for a recent version of word? i dont have word on my computer, and wordpad "performs and illegal operation" when i try to open it

14th January 2005 09:34 UTC

It's a Word file, you can get a viewer from microsoft.com somewhere. There will be an html version soon, people are working on it.

Fairly decent size update to the guide, read the deviation comment for a list of changes
