How Do You Increase The Resolution of AVS When In Overlay Mode???
Hello
I have discovered the coolness of Winamp's ability to change the entire desktop backround to the AVS Display. The only problem I have is that I do not know how to increase the resolution of the overlay display. I have setup my AVS so that it will run at 1024 x 768 when in full screen, but right now my AVS overlay is at a low resolution and it keeps bugging me. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe this...
1. Right click in AVS window
2. AVS editor
3. Settings > Display
4. uncheck 'Pixel Doubling (half resoultion)'

Yes I already did that. The resolution is still pretty low.

Are you talking about the desktop display overlay or the full screen overlay? AFAIK desktop overlay is based on the current desktop res and is independent of full screen res.
Try MilkDrop in desktop mode (Alt+d to toggle desktop mode).
Could a mod move this to the appropriate AVS forum. Khruschev will get more authoritative help from the AVS junkies. :weird:

not ture, johnny
the desktop overlay resolution is the same as the AVS window resolution.
enlarge the AVS window to make it less blocky :) and less fluently... always remember the performance/quality tradeoff when changing the resolution

Thanks for the info. What you said does make sense. :)
Forgive me if you have already been asked this, are you related to Sheriff Lobo?
Sorry, I couldn't resist

overlay mode uses the resolution of your normal avs window. Enlarge it to get a higher resolution in overlay mode. But as TomyLobo stated, it will slow down the preset a lot.
