Help me out
I've made a preset that it think would look great with a dynamove so if anyone wants to show off their skill and get their name in my next pack, download this and have go at it then post it back up.

no thanks

Sorry, no offencive, but i think that nobody will help you, cause this was done many times before. Sorry :(

10th May 2004 23:37 UTC

well crap, i'm hopeless at dm...

11th May 2004 01:38 UTC

AVS is generally something people make alone. If you want a DM, make one.

11th May 2004 07:38 UTC

thats the thing, i have no idea how they work, i can use the regular movement trans but dynamics give me the shits.

Yathosho + Skupers = Dynamic Duo ;)

11th May 2004 11:59 UTC

well if noones going to help me out can you just tell me what you think of it? It is only the 50th preset i've made.

13th May 2004 01:12 UTC

In reply to Raz and Vanish the dude: OK I know about those kinds of things, but a majority of AVSers make there own presets and if somebody wants to add to them, they can. I was mostly trying to point out that he should learn to do DM's because there might not always be someone to do them for him.

I sped it a bit up (and made it look better i think :)) by using a static convolution filter bump instead of the dynamic ones.

if you dont to understand it, here's an explanation:
if you look at the convolution filter kernel (that's the 7*7 table with the numbers in it), you'll see this in center:
-1 -2 0
-2 4 2
0 2 1

this means that if we are for example at pixel(10, 10), the new value for that pixel is the sum of the following lines:
-1 *pixel(9,9)
-2 *pixel(10,9)
0 *pixel(11,9) <--- this line is left out by the convo filter because its factor is zero

-2 *pixel(9,10)
4 *pixel(10,10)
2 *pixel(11,10)

0 *pixel(9,11) <-- this line, too
2 *pixel(10,11)
1 *pixel(11,11)

that new value is then divided by the value you enter for "Scaling".
I hope that was a good explanation :)

now to the effect of that calculation:
if there is a bright bar, it looks casts a shadow to the lower right and has a highlight on the upper left.

actually attaching the preset could help, eh? :)

14th May 2004 10:41 UTC

you champion. A convo filter was good for speeding it up, but it would still be good to have some more 3d-ness to it. Not to worry, this is great. Thanks

15th May 2004 10:23 UTC

Here u go buddy :)

15th May 2004 12:59 UTC

where's the spider? :D

nice remix

16th May 2004 09:25 UTC

awesome! this looks really cool. Thanks so much for your help.

At the moment i'm about 1/4 the way through my 2nd pack of 40 presets so if anyone wants to have a look at what i've done so far just tell me and i'll post them up.

17th May 2004 09:40 UTC

and tl, here's the spider:

17th May 2004 23:46 UTC

Interesting pattern.

18th May 2004 07:32 UTC

it still needs some work, especially with the colours

19th May 2004 00:12 UTC

very nice, i think you're on the right way :)

19th May 2004 01:57 UTC

sweet :)

22nd May 2004 12:10 UTC

well, while no-one else is saying anything, i'll post my newest preset up for judging. What do you think?

22nd May 2004 21:16 UTC

woah hypnotizing :D
but it somehow looks nearly like the other one

23rd May 2004 03:31 UTC

Yeah it does look a little bit the same but thats because it's blue. The other one was just something that came out of nowhere and probably wont be in my next pack.
And thanks a bunch for your opinion.

23rd May 2004 23:21 UTC

Yeah, it's hypnotizing, wish that flashing would go away though.

24th May 2004 01:37 UTC

flash?

27th May 2004 01:37 UTC

anyway, i just got a new comp so now i can actually see what my presets should look like and hopefully my new ones will get a lot better from now on...

If someone thinks they can make any of my presets better of different, have a go and get your name in my 2nd pack.

6th June 2004 12:54 UTC

well here's my latest few...
Tell me what you think.

6th June 2004 18:58 UTC

#17 is funny :)
make it more beat reactional and it's good :)

you're getting better

7th June 2004 08:32 UTC

sweet.
more beat responsive, any idea how?

7th June 2004 20:45 UTC

maybe on-beat random eye swimming direction?

9th June 2004 04:37 UTC

You mean like this:....

I made it more bright as well, thought it looked a little dull

9th June 2004 20:57 UTC

hehe that sure looks panic on fast-paced music :)

10th June 2004 01:27 UTC

Nice eyeballs ;)

flash?
The flashing at the start of "At My Command".

10th June 2004 03:53 UTC

Sweet

10th June 2004 05:01 UTC

i can't seem to do anything about that flash, but if you want to try go right ahead, or any suggestions would be welcome

17th June 2004 12:38 UTC

don't really want to keep this thread going too long, but i just made a preset that i need peoples opinion on...
what do you think? anything i should add/change?

17th June 2004 14:15 UTC

Very nice. I like the colours of it :)

19th June 2004 07:27 UTC

i can't decide which map is the best

19th June 2004 08:05 UTC

the default one is fine enough for me :)......

19th June 2004 08:12 UTC

yeah i suppose it is

19th June 2004 11:03 UTC

dont suppose:p it is :)

19th June 2004 11:09 UTC

ok, it is

26th June 2004 07:11 UTC

:D good

26th June 2004 11:11 UTC

Ok, newest release, what do you think??

7th July 2004 14:38 UTC

Well here's my latest and greatest (looks pretty good to me). Any suggestions; i need a better name, or comments?
Sorry about the poor fps...
