My tribute to the AVS gods
HI all, I was sitting here staring into my computer screen, well into one of the 100's of avs presets I have downloaded, and I got to thinking (yes it hurts somtimes but I try) "OMG these presets are F**king AMAZING!"

I have SOOO many that I can possible review them all. So Here I am saying:

To all the AVS gods(too many to name them all) THANK YOU!

Thank you for taking the time to code the beautiful things for us to look at, thank you for helping good avs presets comming, thank you for entertaing, visually, those of us who hae nothing better to than sit infront of a computer and listen to the endless supply of music out there.

I have tried to make avs presets, but I lack the time and practice, not to mention the grasp of math required to make some of these wonderful presets.

I also thank the guys at Nullsoft for writing the avs studio(I can imagine what a challange it could have been)

In short, thanx guys, you make my spare time more fun.

     :D

After 4 years of AVSing, someone FINALLY says: "Hey thanks for taking the time & effort"

This should be a morale boost for everyone here at the forums :)

10th September 2003 06:28 UTC

As the head god, I say thanks.

Oh wait, I'm one of the little underlings. Thanks anyway.:p

10th September 2003 06:30 UTC

You review, id say that's god's judge :D

10th September 2003 07:06 UTC

BTW Tuggummi, your avs presets are THE most viewed on my pc... I hope that one day I can do some justice to your work withsome remixes. With your permission of course.
[edit]
Tuggummi, could perhaps email me a list of the avs packs you have put out. I wanna make sure I have them all.

I'm a big fan

10th September 2003 09:21 UTC

Yup,tug i have all of your packs!:)
Anyway whiterayven(you stole that username dontcha?:p) well i'm not a AVS god but thanx for appreciating our AVS community.

10th September 2003 12:33 UTC

I have your last 6. I think I reviewed one or two of them.

10th September 2003 12:51 UTC

Yeah i was under the impression that you wa folks don't know much about my dark deep past :igor:

10th September 2003 12:55 UTC

I knew that you had been making stuff for a while - I just never downloaded it.

10th September 2003 13:47 UTC

I got all from 6th to 18th. Best ones are 10,11/12,13,15 and 17. Srtobotonic 3 I didnt like that much but I expect nb.19 to kick ass.

10th September 2003 15:03 UTC

my favorites of tuggs are 13, 14, 15, 17.
my favorites of UCDs are III, IV, V, VI
my favorites of Jheriko's are 6, 7, 8, 9

Those are my 3 favorite artists. I have other favorite packs(both of zamuz's, Desibel+, El-VIS VR, Pickin Dim 3, most of paranoya's stuff), but those are the greatest artists.

10th September 2003 15:45 UTC

hm, favorite artists? in no particular order it's gotta be nemoorange, skupers and tuggummi. but of course i like the work of a lot of other people aswell. once again i need to mention pishiru, who has probably been overlooked by some people.

in case i got a fan here, you can find my stuff here :)

10th September 2003 15:53 UTC

I'm not good at avs, but it's really nice to see somebody saying Thank you for all our effort in it. This indeed is a moral boost for every one

10th September 2003 16:49 UTC

I figuered... I starting my first year in a Computer Information Systems Bachlors degree... So I can understand that what you do is kind of a thankless job

[edit]
thanx tugg, I already had most of em... I just missed 4-8 so now I have them all.

Hey all u other avs gods out there, advertise your presets here.

I want em all now.... MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....hehehe.... :D

[/edit]

10th September 2003 20:05 UTC

As I said, I'm not a god, but if you still like some simpler packs, here is my second pack. :) I hope you like it. Please let me know what you think of it.

11th September 2003 00:33 UTC

Tug : I have all your packs before viewing that list. Am I a nerd?

Anyways : There's still a lot to be seen. Really. A shitload. You'll prolly pay tribute again when things progress more...

11th September 2003 03:35 UTC

I like to think of my self as a God, but reality always puts an end to that idea. I suggest you look up Pickin Dim 3 by fsk, don't know were you could find it, but it has some of the greatest 3D scoping i have ever seen. Another good one is piR, his presets are only on his website from what I know, and since I don't have the address readily availabe... He does have some really nice looking things. Lastly, I'd like to mention Scopeguru who releases one pack I know of, it has some of the best 3D synchronized scopes EVER, I'm talking about things like a couple hundred scopes to make a piano that has keys that move "correctly" with the getspec signal. I love AVS.

11th September 2003 03:47 UTC

I have pickin dim 3, that again is a VERY nice preset

11th September 2003 06:05 UTC

Tug : I have all your packs before viewing that list. Am I a nerd?
You being nerd definetly doesn't depend on you having all of my packs :p
I guess you're just bored & got too much freetime in your hands :D Tho i don't whine if even my older stuff is wanted :)

11th September 2003 06:15 UTC

HEY, I am a NERD... What of it... Nerds are cool too... Maybe only to other nerds :D ... Perhaps you should go and rent "Revenge of the Nerds" I think there are like 3 of them
:D

11th September 2003 06:59 UTC

:(
i dont have any packs out

But the best of my stuff is at my DA site.
check the link in my sig.

11th September 2003 07:58 UTC

Get my seventh pack here!

11th September 2003 17:11 UTC

Rocky, I just got your 7th pack....*Shakes his hand and gives him pat on the head* good one man... Some very original stuff in there and some really nice rmx's too... keep em comming

11th September 2003 17:22 UTC

umm....I just prefer being called Ishan.
Thanx for the comment btw.

12th September 2003 03:57 UTC

LOL, no problem Ishan

4th October 2003 08:45 UTC

When you review it shows you are god.

4th October 2003 22:50 UTC

?

5th October 2003 04:08 UTC

I don't even have 1 pack.... I got some nice presets lying around waiting to be released though... like... 5 of them

I know how to raytrace does that make me a god? or a slightly more powerful human?:D

5th October 2003 05:42 UTC

I almost understand how UnConeD and Jheriko solved their Quartics, does that make me a god? Unfortunatly not, all it got me was some major headaches and a lot of unfinshed homework in school. :)

5th October 2003 06:08 UTC

hey, i'm 1337 too

:(

5th October 2003 07:05 UTC

I'm no god, but damn I'm good.

So many ideas... so little capabilities...

And Super-Toast, it's just Whittaker's method - They used numerical solving method, therefore you can only get so close to the actual thing without slowing down too much.
Fortunately, we can get close enough to make it look good :)

6th October 2003 19:00 UTC

Dude, why did you remove your earlier packs? Don't tell me yare ashamed! I still keep my good ol crap up in the classic wamp! (i will ask bruxo if he has your first packs).

6th October 2003 22:39 UTC

jfb's stuff is good, at least i like

8th October 2003 10:33 UTC

I have also also enjoyed your stuff too, HF.
