Pentakis Dodecahedron
http://mathworld.wolfram.com/PentakisDodecahedron.html
Lookie, isn't it cool. Spent most of friday night working on the scopes. First i made the simple (ha) dodecahedron, 12 hexagons and then made 5 separate scopes extending from each to make the 5 triagles. Also i extended the triangles a little further out because it just looks that much cooler.
And now to make a preset out of it...

okay, i give up. this is the third time something like this has happened in a week. just three nights ago i was playing with some construction toys cos i had nothing else to do and i made that - i thought to myself, 'damn this would look cool in avs.' fuck it :hang:

Great, but it could use something else.

Mathworld be damned for further spreading non-standard terminology. If Mathematica wasn't such a good tool I'd complain to someone. The standard name for this shape is a stellated dodecahedron... even the Mathematica help files refer to the process of stellation and stellated polyhedra.
Seriously though, its always nice to see a polyhedron preset... see if you can make it so that only the front faces draw. Then I'd be really impressed.

I made a remix. It's not beat reactive:(, but I thought it looked pretty cool.:)

Nice preset there pixelcraft, it would be good for a particle preset but it really takes away the point of the preset. Nice work though.
Ok i made some serious beat reaction now, take a little looksie. Now all that's left to do is make it look pretty. :D
