Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard(it's up there above insert and delete). This will make a copy of the screen and put it on the clipboard. Then open your favorite picture editing program(MS Paint will work) and go to Edit/Paste. There you go - a nice screenshot.

Pressing alt-printscreen only captures the active window. It is no big improvement, but it saves time because you don't have to crop the image.

But if you are running AVS fullscreen(which I always do for screen captures), print screen works perfectly.

By the way, they should put info of how to submit the visualization. Like how big is the image and the thumbnail should be.

Press alt+prtscrn, open paint, go to attributes, set the size to 1x1. Press paste. When it asks you if you want to resize, say yes.

1x1??? Quite a small thumbnail...

Doing this eliminates the need to crop whitespace.

Well unless you want to keep the ugly window border, you still have to crop anyway ;).
