Wanna be in my next pack?
Hey guys, looking for some mixes here. I've got 9 presets I deam worthy of public distribution, but I'd like to have at least 15. If anyone could help out, if would be much appreciated. I still have mixes from Raz and Magic from the last time I tried to release my pack, thanks guys.

I've put together a mix pack for convenience. In it are some of the presets from the pack, two plain scopes (starscope and goo cube) and 1 from my first pack. Get it here if you want to.

You're gonna need colourmap, picture 2, convolution, and multiplier.

Mixes and comments appreciated. Let your minds fly.

Ok, i've got my eyes on that star scope :) I think the normal "flow background and buffer blending" should do it :D But i'll try to figure out something a bit different ;)

Also would be nice to remix that starfield, but alas, don't know any 3D coding... *sigh* Maybe i'll figure out something else for it, like some cool trans effects :)

But just to let you know, i'll try to whip up something :p

Count me in. Maybe make 2 or 3 preses for you.
Any naming convention for sending the files?

maybe I will add something to the stars (in the 'Journey')

22nd May 2003 13:47 UTC

heh, i like the looks of those stars, i'll do a couple more for ya when i get some time at the weekend.

22nd May 2003 13:50 UTC

Count me in too. I'll be flappin' up a couple. Should I upload them here, or e-mail them to you?

22nd May 2003 16:06 UTC

I don't think I'm up to the job :p, lemme learn for a while on, and maybe I'll help with your next one.

22nd May 2003 17:09 UTC

I can help if you want.:)

22nd May 2003 17:24 UTC

Any help is appreciated, newbie or oldie(?). Mess with whatever you want, that's what remixing is about. I can't promis to include everything, but noobs might get lucky. :)

My current naming convention is:

RMX - original name - (mix name)

As for submission, either post 'em here or email them. Jeckelsafar@yahoo.com

Heres my 3 little precious :)

I think they are the best remixes i have made so far for anyone ;) :D

They are a bit simple, but they run pretty slow also, which is kinda weird i admit, but it's the cool effects that suck fps.

Anyway, i didn' rename them other than just added that (mixname) in the end, you can rename them if you want :)

Oh and they require Color Map & Convolution APE's.

Here are two remixes from me, i didnt want to mess up with your ssc so instaed i added nice colours(they look nice mind you:D)

23rd May 2003 10:03 UTC

OK,i`ll see what i can do this weekend if i dont leave again...2 is a nice number ? :) Oh and should we add comments for the presets ? Like what we added/deleted ?

23rd May 2003 11:07 UTC

Can you explain a bit about what those vars do in the star preset. I have to decode the code which is a lenghty process :(

23rd May 2003 14:01 UTC

Here's two presets :)

23rd May 2003 16:53 UTC

Thanks guys. :)

Phaze:
It's all a go. Do whatever you want, they're your mixes. Go nuts.

Sheryas:
The code isn't the best, but here's what the variable names mean

sides    = # sides
rad = radius of shape

height = extrusion amount
h = how far from the base shape plane (height)
rot = rotation around the circle the shape is based on
p = point

aa,ab = how much to increment rotation in xy and yz
speed = scale factor of rotation speed
xy,yz = rotation in xy,yz planes

rcsb = radius change beginning speed value
rcb = radius change beginning value
rcssv = radius change speed slowdown value
rcs = radiud change speed
rc = radius change
rcc = radius change change (change the difference between the
radii)

7 miuntes left Phaze, then the weekend's up in my town. :)

<bump>

26th May 2003 06:53 UTC

Uptaded the presets a bit for different (hopefully better) looks and more fps.

27th May 2003 07:25 UTC

Wow Tug, I liked the ring one before. Now it's better. :up:

Looks like you got in one star remix Sheryas. What'cha planning, meybe I can help decode the code.

27th May 2003 09:39 UTC

No I wanted code help for the stars...Cant understand what is used for what :confused:

27th May 2003 10:08 UTC

You want pseudocode and variable definition?

28th May 2003 01:53 UTC

Here is my remix.

28th May 2003 02:42 UTC

Two remixes, both with some nice colour map tricks i recently discovered.

28th May 2003 08:15 UTC

BTW, Raz, you got a pic for that texer?

28th May 2003 08:33 UTC

28th May 2003 08:39 UTC

30th May 2003 21:58 UTC

Looks nifty. What'cha gonna do with it?

31st May 2003 01:18 UTC

1st June 2003 14:10 UTC

tuggummi's firething remix made something nice out of that old boring cube thing

1st June 2003 20:32 UTC

I likes the goo cube. :(

Anyway, having issued with the pic in firething. I thought I do it all properlike and actually ask permission to use the pic. It's still up in the air in my view, but I thing the webmaster is leaning towards no. I might have to find a new pic.

3rd June 2003 07:23 UTC

Make sure you find a nice Fire themed pic:)
