Overlay without AVS window
I've searched the forums and read the FAQS, but I'm unable to figure this out.
How can I let WinAmp run a background overlay _without_ the AVS window?
I know I can undock the AVS window from the config and that it's off the screen if I minimize winamp, but I want:
- Winamp 'ontop' in single line mode, so I can still control the music
- Overlay on the background
- No other Winamp windows, specifically the AVS window.
Now how is this possible, and if not, why not?
I saw people request this in the past "Don't show AVS window when using overlay" but nobody ever really responded to it, so I don't know if I'm the only one who wants this, or if those people figured out how to do this..
Thanks for any answers :)

Quite simply, it doesn't do that and we don't know why. Try adding it to the ever growing wishlist. I suggest the WA2 or 3 wishlist because the avs wishlist is a bloated monstrosity and nothing gets added anymore.

I believe a plugin exists that will put winamp controls in the quicklaunch bar. You might try that. No promises though.

There are some plugins out that are able to control your Winamp from the title bar of the active window. Go to plugins and search for title bar to get one.
This should enable you to control winamp alhough it is minimized.
I use one of those pugs myself and i must say, o dont wanna miss it.
Note that using multiple instances of Winamp at the same time may cause errors / bad skinning
