Hard to judge
Now im a bit curious...Which is the most complicate preset ever done ? Doesnt have to mean how many code lines.Just complexity.I like zevensofts matrix preset. It runs slow but its great.

2nd March 2003 21:20 UTC

UnConeD - Rollercoaster
Anubis2003 - 120 Polyhedron
Atero - Starwars
UnConeD - Wolfenstein3D

and of course

UnConeD - Zero-G Maze 3

2nd March 2003 21:32 UTC

i'd say all five of those, except i'd take out your 120-polyhedron and put zeven's matrix preset in there instead. sorry anubis :/

2nd March 2003 21:33 UTC

I still havent seen your preset anubis. How do i fix the bug in the colormap or how do i run it ?

2nd March 2003 21:33 UTC

Well you know that I'm partial to my own presets. I threw your starwars janx up in there though.

3rd March 2003 04:07 UTC

I suggest UnConeD's "Use the Force" - Too many things not to hit (Nice work with the rotate-to-avoid moves too)

I can almost suggest a few of fsk's presets...

Oh, and at the time of posting this, Anubis' sig is 1.5 times bigger than my screen.

3rd March 2003 04:24 UTC

LOL, sorry dude. I accidentally selected the wrong file when I was trying to update my sig, and then when I tried to change it back my computer crashed.

Phaze, you can get my 120-Polyhedron at http://anubis2003.deviantart.com

Complexity is pretty hard to "gain" without using lots of code :)

I don't know about complexity as in tech wise, but my most slowest preset is on the way in Bitmapped II. It uses a lot of simple dm's a couple of picture's, a couple of APE's such as colormap & convolution. Well anyway it uses many small effects to create the final preset, i consider it quite complex even tho it doesn't use code anymore than maybe 10-20 lines (superscope included)

I vote for Zevensoft's Ocean 3, it might not be as complex as Matrix Reality, but it looks so fucking sweet and going underwater is gotta be a really hard thing to pull out.

3rd March 2003 10:29 UTC

Anubis : but it will work ? Its the good version ?
Tuggummi : how long till you release your pack ? :)

3rd March 2003 10:38 UTC

Phaze, AGES my friend... ages... I have only 8 presets ready now, i don't now the goal but it will not be completed not in atleast a month...

3rd March 2003 10:53 UTC

Heh heh heh...

I'm going to use a publicity trick and say...

"I, am your father..."

3rd March 2003 14:31 UTC

Definnetly one of UnConeDs presets. I think he should tell us:).
Maybee that raytraceing SSC he made.

Anubis2003 :weird:
that polihedron preset of yours can NOT be on that list even if it took you dunno how long (but as said in your comment,it didnt) Because it's just plain BORRING. And besides you didn't do anything that is hard to do in avs.:P

3rd March 2003 16:13 UTC

i agree, there are two main things that make a preset good IMO, first complexity and technicality like for instance that but the other part is making it a fun preset to watch, and that isnt. Youve only met half of the requirements, still nice work though. Besides this isnt the best preset done its the most complex so it is a contender.

3rd March 2003 21:02 UTC

I'm working on doing even more with it. I think it will be on this list when I'm done. I already think it should be, but like I said, I will like my stuff more than yours of the same magnitude because I made mine.

3rd March 2003 21:21 UTC

Guys try not to fight or argue...Keep it clean :)

3rd March 2003 23:15 UTC

If Anubis' 120-polyhedra is included, then we can include Atero's Hyper/Supercube and my Beat Counter. We all know that they all are basically point-positioning, not quite the complexity we want (Though Atero's 4th and 5th dimension rotation can be a little plus).

Anyways, I'm thinking of UnConeD's WolfAVSstein 3D (Slightly like the 120-polyhedra problem though...), Jello Cube (Mostly good syncing - disqualification?), and well... that's about all that I can think right now...

I have nothing too complex in my upcoming pack in play (That and none of my presets are too complex to begin with), so I can nominate none of my works...

3rd March 2003 23:17 UTC

5th dimension??? I thought it was just 4 dimensions.

3rd March 2003 23:33 UTC

He also made a supercube - 5th dimension but missing a few sides...

Still, quite a feat.

4th March 2003 02:21 UTC

If I do make those sides work eventually (I've dropped the project for now), I'm gonna make a really cool preset out of it and you can proceed in WOSHIPPING me. :D
btw, nic, don't forget the simplex and cross polytope - intro to tff1.0 contains the orthogonal views (easy to convert them to projections - i have them stored in a seperate file on my comp as projections). the cube looks cooler than the rest tho :)

4th March 2003 02:58 UTC

"WOSHIPPING" - I'll ship you some wo's as soon as you give me some money.:p

4th March 2003 05:02 UTC

(Postage and Handling additional $200.00)

4th March 2003 06:05 UTC

what if i made TEH UBERCUBE!!1 (6-th demensia)

4th March 2003 07:53 UTC

pfft, my Alpha-Omega Super UberCube Deluxe ti MX+ 2000.1 GTS Professional Enterprise Limited Edition XP will trundle your vanilla 'ubercube'

but actually, what's the point with 6 dimensions,
the eye can only see 2 dimensions and you lose like 4 dimensions in that

5th March 2003 08:32 UTC

Are you all obsesed by cubes ? Dont you like any other geometrical forms ? A morphing sphere would be cool :)

5th March 2003 12:29 UTC

He's just doing cubes in other dimensions because they are easier to do in those dimensions - all the coordinates are -1,0,or 1.

5th March 2003 13:28 UTC

Tech freaks...

Kiss me daddy-o, right to the g-spot of MY ASS!

5th March 2003 20:39 UTC

Cube is nice.Figured out the equations and now im trying to look at morphing presets to try to create something...Wish me luck :) Oh and Tuggummi are you really gay or just pretending ?

5th March 2003 22:09 UTC

I dunno phaze - that T logo has an unusual 'pelvic giration' going on there.

5th March 2003 23:00 UTC

Note to self : Rescusitate project T so that people stop talking about it in the forums...

6th March 2003 06:02 UTC

Im just having a really bad day, yesterday :p
But i envy&hate you tech freaks, i envy you for your mad skillz and hate you because that's all you can think of! blargh...

*case closed*

*note to self, change the T avatar...

6th March 2003 09:32 UTC

legohead i dont have any T logo lol I have Aragorn and Tuggummi has the erotic T

6th March 2003 12:01 UTC

He was referring to Tugg's T and your previous post.

6th March 2003 12:12 UTC

:D

Any suggestions?

6th March 2003 12:25 UTC

Smooth the vertical line a bit.

6th March 2003 12:31 UTC

Hah, in your face bitches! Look at t3h new avatar!

<-- Right there! :D

6th March 2003 12:39 UTC

No offense, but it looks like a baby in the picture to me. It's a nice avatar though.

6th March 2003 12:45 UTC

Muahahah, non taken :D I guess this crushes all your fantasies about me whatever they are :)

And you will have to stare it all day long! Muahah suffer! :blah:

*edit*
Oh yeah forgot, i am really babyface looking. Everytime i try to buy beer they ask me for papers. EVERY TIME! argh!

6th March 2003 21:12 UTC

Aha...Tuggummi i like that T avatar better. This looks very, childish dunno :) Oh and you REALLY have a baby face -> you get lots of chicks ?

6th March 2003 23:08 UTC

Tugga - I like your new avatar. Phaze your's looks like an ex heroin addict... heheheee...

6th March 2003 23:17 UTC

i do hypercubes, cross polytopes, and simplexes - cube, octahedron, and tetrahedron in 3D; octochoron, hexadecachoron, and pentachoron in 4D. cubes are easy - it's just connecting all the points with coordinates (1 or -1, 1 or -1, ...) to any other point with only one difference in the coordinates. cross polytopes are also easy - just connect every point (of which only 1 axis has a coordinate of 1 or -1, the rest are zero) to every other point EXCEPT the one directly axially across from it. simplexes are also easy - every point is connected to every other point, and there's only n+1 points in n dimensions. it gets a lot more complex from there :)

7th March 2003 09:36 UTC

Legohead LOOOOL!!!! Nice comparation...But it still is Aragorn son of Arathorn husband of Arwen king of Gondor. ;)
Atero : i didnt understand a thing in your post hah.Did a cube preset for my new black and white pack and works with 7fps without pixel doubling yack! So you do the most complex geometrical forms in avs atero ?

7th March 2003 10:48 UTC

Phaze, i don't get any chicks at all. The whole babyface legend is dogshit, like winamp3 (muhaahha I had to say that! :D)

7th March 2003 21:03 UTC

Except me who else from this forum gets chicks ? Oh and for a complex and beatiful AVS i propose Zevensoft`s new Ocean preset. Its GREAT :)

7th March 2003 21:44 UTC

I get chicks left and right. Prob'ly my hair.

8th March 2003 12:02 UTC

Any pic ? Btw here`s a picture of my desktop.Oh and i still didnt get the answer anubis. Is the DA version of your polyhedron preset working ? I dont want my winamp crash again :) A few hours ago i wrote some code and made a very cool 3d dm(almost a tunnel) and i didnt saved, went in fullscreen and crashed! ARGH!

8th March 2003 16:44 UTC

Yeah, my DA version doesn't have any effects on it. Just the barebones polyhedron. I'll upload a picture of my hair sometimes. You want a picture of it when it was red, or how it is now?

8th March 2003 17:44 UTC

where did this start?

8th March 2003 18:37 UTC

Started with tugg's new avatar.

8th March 2003 19:00 UTC

i get girls, it isnt hard you just have to have the confidence and the knowhow and they're yours. Anyway tugs new avatar is sweet.

8th March 2003 21:42 UTC

The damn piece of shit crashed like 20 times today!!!!!!!!!    !!!!! Me pissed...! Anyway anubis any color also include the face too hhehe.Oh and should i post a poll for the subject of this forum ? ;)

11th March 2003 06:51 UTC
