Be a part of ZAP4!
Attached below is a preset of which I need you, the communities', help with. As you will see, it is titled 'CubeInterface', and the goal of it is to appear as a volumetric 3D cube which will light up in full 3D in time with the music. This is where you come in, taking the example "Stereo Green/Blue with Scan Red" and making your own fun dancing lightshow. The only part that you need to edit is the first superscope, I trust you are intelligent enough to figure out what does what fairly soon.

You may also change the text info to say the author is your name, I also trust that you can figure out how to create new values for the info.

An optional feature (which is used in the example) is to sync the ref-cube with the texer cube.

Ingenius ways of linking stuff will earn extra points, as will customizing the camera as well.

Tips: cl controls the density of the cube, no higher than 10 will work, this is a limit of the texer ape. You can also change the colours of the superscopes in the last effect list to alter the transparenct of the info and ref-cube.

You can post your entries here.

The best 7 will appear in ZAP4, each with different coloured ref-cubes, and credit where it is due. If a large interest is gathered, then a seperate pack will be released containing all of these cubes.

The best 3 of the lot will receive information on how to create dynamic radial and zoom motion blur.

Entries close 1st of March.

And here is what the motion blur looks like, just so you can further judge whether or not to bother entering :blah:

And I forgot before, kudos to UnConeD for making the texer ape.

And when I say best 7, I mean best 7 authors. Each author will be assigned a ref-cube of their chosen colour, or if their chosen colour is already taken, then another chosen colour.

Please forgive my triple posting, because I am lazy.

You need to recalc your aspect ratio fixes every frame or it'll look squashed when you resize the window during the preset (or go fullscreen).

The volumetric cube is also lacking a corner... you need to increase n by one and move the grid-code to the end of the point section rather than the beginning.

And finally it's best to use vertical alignment option "center" and adjust the position of the text manually, that way the text's middle will be used as reference (correct), not its bottom.

Oh dang I forgot that one :igor: (all the other scopes are ratio corrected).

Just add "ys=min(w/h,1);xs=min(h/w,1);" to the init line, and "x=x*xs;y=y*ys;" to the end of the point code.

Arg I'll repost in a second with the fixes.

Thanks anyway though UnConeD, how did you become so ineffable?

Here is the fixed version with all of UnConeD's suggestions implemented.

Tip: Extra points if anyone makes the info bar come alive too :D

Very nice, Zevensoft. Some of the text runs out of the box, though. I would help, but I don't understand it, so I'll leave it to those who do.

Adjust your window size, Anubis.

Pretty nice, I'll see what I can do with it.

P.S. : Edit the text outline color to 1/1/1 because the added blue might get annoying (for those with text-blackout problem) (Fortunately, no problems on my comp)

Don't all post at once...

I would gladly do a remix if it were just to add a couple of new effects of my own, but if you're asking me to edit/work on your code you're insane :igor: I think only UnConeD or Jheriko could be up for that job... so 7 best? Where the hell did you get that number?
