Strange lines when running avs full screen on dekstop
I keep getting strange 'glitchy' lines through the middle of my visualisations when I run AVS full screen on my desktop. Its still smooth and I am running a powerful machine so I don't know if its just a certain setting?
Anyone know?

Unless you're running on a 26 GHz processor, it's not powerful enough to run fullscreen at a decent framerate (unless of course you're running a really really simple preset). But if you're running it at some 320x240 and hitting "run on desktop" it's going to run at the same resolution as it's running in the AVS window. It's probably a problem with your Windows background settings, or the desktop color settings, or something. Make sure you don't have a background image, and that you have "Set desktop to color..." enabled.

Is wait for retrace checked in your full screen settings?

Wait for retrace is ticked, I am running a 2.4GHz and 800x600

Is it with all presets or with a particular one?

He could be using WinME, which I've heard runs AVS VERY fast.

Im suprised that i haven't heard that before Zevensoft. If it's true then im even more suprised that nobody hasn't made any threads about it. Not that i've searched, but these things bound to come up every now & then, like the randomly changing presets function or how avs is slow...
