AVS and CDs
Hi there,
Just wondering whenever I use cds the avs wont work at all, even the little visual in the main window doesnt work.

If the spectrum analyzer and oscilliscope in the main window don't work it's not an AVS problem, it's a Winamp problem. I believe this topic has been broached here before though. Search this forum and you might find something.

This isn't in the FAQ, but it will only work if your soundcard is FULL DUPLEX. Nearly all soundcards made after the sound blaster 16 support full duplex, also make sure you have the latest drivers. If you card doesn't support full duplex, then the 'Digital Mixer' control wont be there, and this method wont work.

With music that Winamp doesn't generate (non-mp3), it relies on WaveIn. This means, to have CD's visualized, you must open your volume control mixer, go to "Options->Properties" then select "Recording", and make sure each box below is ticked, then click "OK".

Now, click the box under "Digital Mixer", "WaveIn", "Output" or something along those lines. Now drag this slider up until vizualization is responding nicely. Now you can close the volume control.
