Did you get an email saying your pack had been rejected ?
Did you get an email saying it had been removed?
If the answer is no to both of those, then you have nothing to worry about, packs are not posted to the site untill they have been reviewed, reviews can take a few day or a few weeks, depends on how busy things are, no need to keep submitting it, we'll get to it eventually.

Right, ok, finally, some details, I don't deal with AVS packs myself, so I've asked an AVS reviewer to come here and provide you with an explanation as to what is wrong.
My guess is you submitted it as a .zip file yes?, files need to be packed as .exe installers, not .zip files , course I may be wrong.
Hopefully the AVS reviewer will make things clear for you.

For the last time, you are gonna have to wait for an AVS review guy to come and explain what's wrong, I've sent a message to an AVS reviewer for you and hopefully he will explain what's up, untill then you are just going to have to wait.

If you don't know it, look at the component in your user developer area, wave the cursor over the edit link, look in your browser status bar, make a note of the 6 digit number.

Ok still a couple of small problems/could be made better.
It is not detecting the winamp directory which we would recommend
CHeck this thread:
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....highlight=nsis
for a nice NSIS script that will do most of the stuff for you.
The font that is in there if I remember does not install correctly too.
I will move this thread to the AVS troublshooting forum so all teh brains there can help you also.
I hope it helps

You pack kept being rejectied because the installer would not install to the proper directory. An email was sent a theory on why it might not work, did you recieve it?
An AVS forum regular developed an install script that seems to be pretty robust. You should be able to tweak it to suit your needs.

1: THIS ISN'T A CHATROOM.
2: If the preset contains someone else's code (red, green, blue spectrum), credit them.
3: Don't submit presets and imply that you wrote the code (fire frequency)
4: It's not exactly kosher to use someone else's entire preset, add/change something, then rename it. If you do that, use the original name/artist and tag '(rmx)' onto the end of the filename.
5: If you're having trouble with the installer, then post the installer instead of just saying 'It says I'm having trouble with my installer, please help!' This is like taking the bus to the auto shop and asking him to fix your car.

People!
Hello. I was in a rush. I think I fixed the bug, but Atero said "if I remember correctly, the font didn't install to the correct directory." :igor: The readme said put the font in the fonts folder. Anyways, I don't know how to code on the NSIS program database. Do pray tell...

First zip up your installer exe file. a zip of all your presets isn't really all that useful in a installation query.
And be patient and don't send me a whole host of PM's saying are online etc.
stoopidgenius
15th November 2002 23:02 UTC
1. I only sent 1 PM.
2. I can make an installer, but it won't put the font in the correct folder.

Hey! You're a "major dude." Since I bet you have made installers, can you please send me code for installing the font in the Windows(or WINNT)>Fonts folder?uNDefineD

I didn't say that, but I shouldn't have to move files around to view presets; I know the instant I see 'move the font to the fonts folder' that you're not good enough for me to spend my time doing that just to see your presets. The installer code isn't that hard if you take the time to read the instructions. Put more simply, RTFMDA
Major Dude is just a rating based on your post count.
Also, didn't UnConeD specifically say that if you use any part of his preset (that means if you use all of it, too) that you include the comment?

17th November 2002 08:38 UTC
I have written a grand total of one install script, and that just dumped all my files into a directory and ran notepad with my readme file loaded.
I gave you a link and repied to your PM with some advice that I won't repeat here.

Ok, who you really are?
Sometimes your presets looked like you have to know about avs atleast a bit, but then i see how you managed to mess up my scope from the preset "supascopas II" and thought that you're just another n00b...
Is this just a joke? :weird:

HEY!
I added RMX to all of my remixes. As for Tuggummi, I DID NOT(!) copy! The X1=if(above(... is common! that is why I did it! I'm common! Plus, the x=x1/z is also hella common!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Using IF and EQUALS is common? hahahah, maybe for the more experienced AVS artists, but since you have been acting like a stoopid n00b the whole time i assume you copied it from me, since it looks very much like the code i wrote.
But that's ok, as i clearly stated "You can use my stuff as long as you don't copy the whole preset and claim you did that preset" so i don't mind if you use my stuff, but i feel sorry for you if you just mess up my stuff and then use it to do crappy presets. :igor:

Hey!
This is my new and improved script!
I have made it into a zip because the forum would not take it otherwize.
Sorry for dissing you to prove my superiority.
AND DON'T COMMENT IF YOU HAVE NOTHIN GOOD TO SAY!
I AM NOT A stoopid n00b!
AND THAT PRESET IS NOT CRAPPY! I DID NOT COPY!
*sigh*
I feel good now.

Im in a good mood today, so i want to believe you're not a n00b. So don't act like a n00b then. Example: DO NOT USE CAPS BECAUSE THAT IS THE MOST NOOBISH THING EVER!!!!!!! (also notice the over blown use of ! marks, that's not cool either) Second, Don't expect us to rescue you everytime you have a problem, try to search the forums and look for the answer yourself.
Have a good day mister, enjoy life&avs. Hope you didn't get a negative picture of me i usually don't flame people.

22nd November 2002 00:51 UTC
Dude, it's not for you to say whether it's a crappy preset or not. And I looked for that (RMX) tag, it wasn't there. Even if it did, you made it look like you actually wrote the original code, which is definitely not kosher.
In any case, just adding something from somewhere else does NOT constitute a remix. Do something creative next time, would you? :hang:
