Firstly, do you have English language as your second/third/whatever language? If so, you should state it - misspelled words are annoying... especially if it's the entire post.

Secondly, here are the possibilities :

1. Your screen res is greater than 1024x768
2. Setting the desktop to "none" might help...
3. Well, there isn't any more I can think of...

Hopefully, you'll find the solution.

Try getting the latest video drivers for your graphics-card.

(Btw, considering his/her spelling is nearly-phonetical, there's a large chance we're dealing with a young, native english speaker here :weird:)

you might like to try turning off active desktop and using set desktop to color. that helps too.

Not whit me. Sorry.

Thanks for al of you.

try this:

set your background to none, then set your background color to black

run avs, set overlay mode to on and choose the color by clicking the color box choose black (red=0,blue=0,green=0)

finally set desktop to color should be turned on for fun. :)

it dit not work.
it is not nice of winamp. :-((

Winamp has nothing to do with this, considering overlay mode works for 99% of the people here when applied correctly. What kind of video card do you have? That might be related too.

Try buying a new monitor and video card... no, just kidding. ;)

I know that that card shouldn't give any problems, perhaps it could be that Winamp can't handle the 64K colours (which i refuse to believe), but who knows... Try setting colors to 32k and try again...

or set your desktop color to the same color WA uses to overlay.

perhaps i'll come by some day.
(for everybody who doesn't know yet, we're in the same class at school  ). good luck with the data-communication exam next thursday morning.

two things nobady: don't quote an entire post in your reply, unless it's for something specific; and don't reply do each post seperately in the same thread. use the edit button.

13th November 2002 11:53 UTC

You really enjoy complaining, don't you Atero. :D

13th November 2002 20:11 UTC

You enjoy being a jackass to me, don't you NDD :hang:

13th November 2002 22:15 UTC

And you really enjoy taking stuff I say and reversing it, don't you.

Don't worry buddy! It's all in good fun. :)

14th November 2002 10:04 UTC

people please calm down...

we all know that Atero is an asshole when it comes to speaking proper, non-offending english, we get used to it, end of question.

mentioning that to him will only give him an even bigger ego and he will only start using even more and ruder words, that's just the kid he is: the more you warn him to do not do something, the harder he tries to do just that...

but he is right though, although he could be more gentle ( <--- note that word, Atero) towards newbies and everybody else, quoting an entire post every time takes lots of time, is annoying and makes a thread too long to enjoy to read.

Better give him some advise instead of !3itching him off...

14th November 2002 19:03 UTC

Thank you for your insulting, demeaning, unbased and blatantly incorrect explanation of my views on ettiquitte, rattaplan. I really appreciated it.

I'm not one of these people who's 'out there to beat everybody up' that just want's to get a response out of people. My biggest pet peeve is when people are being blissfully ignorant to the world around them and nobody is doing anything about it. I try to do something about it, and then I get assholes like you trying to make themselves look good by using me as an example, so to speak, of something they made up entirely in their own minds. I could spend two full hours on that subject, but I'm not going to because my time is infinitly more valuable when spent clipping my toenails than trying to explain something to someone I don't even have to deal with regularly.

FYI: My original post was simply to notify nobady of the fact that his posting habits are not generally accepted in the majority of on-line forums (trust me, I surf a lot of message boards, I'm not the only one). If that's a completely bad thing to do then I'm sorry, and I'm leaving cos I don't want to live in a world where constructive critisism gets you shunned from the community. How the fuck was I bitching him off in my post in the first place?

Finally I'd just like to say my life's been pretty shitty the past few weeks, so I'd just like to ask that you guys fuck off for a while...

14th November 2002 19:21 UTC

Atero
I like you. Someone hoe get the nerves to criticise, to use language that nobady uses
en to sty so calm when under pressure.
But please don’t speak that fucking language on this topic.
Thanks
nobady

Okay, that was below the belt.

14th November 2002 23:22 UTC

Question: Why is it okay for you to offend me, but not okay for me to offend you?
I don't like people telling me how to talk; besides that, it's just a god damn word, there's no reason to get so upset about it. The words themselves mean absolutely nothing - it's a sound, nothing else. If it's the actual symbolism of an idea behind the word that you're worrying about, the same symbolism applies to 'frick' and 'fudge' when used in context. I could say the word 'the' offends me and that everyone in this room should't ever use it ever again becaus it's offensive. See how absurd that is?

15th November 2002 08:42 UTC

First: sorry to have offended you.

but as a matter of fact, when you read through the forums, you are only one of the very few who offend people on a regular basis, not that i mind if they deserve it, i guess i deserved yours now...

Second: Personally, i don't give a fuck about saying fuck, but others feel offended by it. Don't know why, but it's the majority of the people around (i guess). Therefore i adjust to them.

and eeeh.. UnDefineD, why do you quote an entire post that sais not to quote entire posts? :weird: :weird: :weird:

15th November 2002 14:51 UTC

rattaplan, you're a fucking dick. just because the majority of people are christians doesn't mean i have to be a christian too. i'm not adjusting to something that's not right just because everyone else does it.

and do you really think i regularly try to be offensive? it's not my problem if 99% of the people in this world are ignorant, arrogant, moronic pricks. i see myself as an incredibly enlightened person, and i really hate it when someone does something slightly (and this is just a generalization) wrong, that's just the way i am, and since a few of you are that 99% of the population, i get really pissed sometimes. then i make really offensive posts, like this one. but it's not like i'm trying to get a reaction out of you just to boost my ego. i'm above that - but you, rattaplan, are obviously not; you're doing the exact same thing you're accusing me of doing, just on a different route.

*puts rattaplan on his bitchlist*

<edit> doesn't help that this is my 666th post... </edit>

15th November 2002 19:47 UTC

Okay, as i said, i deserved that..

The difference between us is that i adjust to my surrounding, you don't. i can't disallow you to have an own opinion, don't want to either.
I just don't agree with it. So we're different. That's all I have to say.

*doesn't want to have a bitchlist*

Because the entire post was in question.

16th November 2002 03:51 UTC

(Note : Refer to posts above the latest post, by NDD)

It's amazing how a topic can change from a technical problem question into putting someone in a b!tchlist... All we need is a short-tempered person and a few unique others.

Atero, I don't think 666th post mattered - It started to seem that most of your posts are 666th post since a while ago...

18th November 2002 14:25 UTC

And still there is nobody ho ken solve my problem.

18th November 2002 17:42 UTC

And still there is nobody ho ken solve my problem.
Did you try the 32-bit colors thing?

Obviously you have a rare technical problem and I think we've exhausted all options.

Btw your sentence should be:
"And still there is nobody who can solve my problem."
Don't use dutch phonetics because they don't match at all.

18th November 2002 17:46 UTC

i whas afraid of it
i hope that if somone thiks up somthing that he tels me.

19th November 2002 04:09 UTC

Foe...nett...ikks...What's that, UnConeD? We Americans know of no such thing as phonetics...

19th November 2002 04:36 UTC

Nope, it's all aboue ebonics now.

19th November 2002 06:17 UTC

We ozstrayun's dun waste time wif stupid "ebonics" an' "phonetics". We jus' say wha we hear. It's prolly the fastest way of sayin' summin', considerin' that it prolly trains the brain to use the audible detection part for speech too.

(And now for the word you Americans have been waiting to hear...)

BUGGER.

(In case you were wondering, this post has a serious factor of 0%)

19th November 2002 08:03 UTC

Well, i could of course start talking Drents (some weird Dutch dialect), but no-one would understand that ... better stick to proper understandable-for-everyone English.

19th November 2002 08:22 UTC

is my englisch understendebol for evri one?
;-c

19th November 2002 08:40 UTC

hardly

19th November 2002 08:41 UTC

nice :-)

19th November 2002 08:43 UTC

no, sorry, i was serious...
you'd better write it in Word, throw a grammar-check over it and use the ctrl-c ctrl-v thing

19th November 2002 10:02 UTC

You mean like this.
I will do so.

Yes I mean him
Btw why do you post the same post 2 times?

19th November 2002 10:16 UTC

fixed :)

couldn't delete the post somehow.

19th November 2002 10:20 UTC

So you post an empty post.
Nice solution.

19th November 2002 10:22 UTC

no, editted the post and cleared it
