Just a question... why does virtually *everyone* call me "Steve Wittens" as opposed to "Steven Wittens" (the APEs in the installer)? I never spell it the first way myself, and since I'm not English, my name is pronounced differently anyway :).
Is it like the "Peter" > "Pete" thing?

And, It defualts to winamp3 dir, No biggie.. But maybe a "Please choose which version of Winamp" thing.. Since someone (a newbie perhaps) might install it to the winamp3 dir and never see it.

(tut) (tut) Should have used my script....
Seriously though, that is one hell of a good pack.

the script detects winamp3 and winamp2 installations. winamp3 is default when both versions are installed, you can still change the installation path afterwards without getting any problems..

yeah... well i prefer to give the user more control over the installation process.. especially since if haven't actually installed winamp you then have no directory.

As long as you didn't take my comment offensively, I didn't mean to imply that your method was wrong at all. The way that you make an installer is all down to personal preference anyway, thats why I started making my own scripts because the ones that were out there already just didn't seem right to me.

i dont take it as offense. i understand your argumentation, but i think the majority of simple users don't want to select anything ;)

Real time? In forums?
I guess it was close enough to real time.
Enjoy your croissants. :)

How about a custom install/auto-install option in the installer?

They were joking, nobady...
Anyway, I'd rather be Steven Wittens than Frank Nagel, personally. But that's probably just me, you can go back to your El-Vis worship now... ;)

It would take me about 6 months to make a worthy UnConeD tribute preset. It would probably need a 3GHz processor minimum system too. I am still really proud of the bluespectrum remix I made though.
