multi-video card ape?
why not make an ape for the m/v card problem? or just get some other software to project it?

Sounds like a good idea, now go do it.

...problem #1 i dunno c/c++ for shit... #2 i dunno asm either... lol :P

Exactly.

ok u win... :P

The problem is that you have all these "great" ideas for AVS, but no means whatsoever to make them happen and you expect us to just jump in, get all excited and do them for you.

So why don't you just carry out those ideas yourself, learn c++/asm/whatever and make those ideas come true yourself, or then you could just shut the fuck up. Thank you.

well it'd stop alot of whiners... lol

Jesus christ tugg-sandy-vag-ummi dont pour flaming shit all over people who post AVS wish's in the AVS wishlist forum please.

2nd December 2004 18:16 UTC

Not that it's a wish for updating AVS itself, but a request for someone else to do a APE (if that's even possible) or even a third party program that would come between AVS and the projection/displaying avs on a secondary device.

Though I might be wrong and this is not a seemless random post by Mattfury whining for someone to do something for him.

2nd December 2004 23:28 UTC

ok, yeah im really bored i asked jaak (master), a few question ... the one that really tripped him up was...
"cant c++ tell a secondary device to display from this source though?" like as in an ape?
runs... > input <avs.io?> )1st
export > 2nd device selected > if error debug rerun

Your psuedo code is a little...er... crap, but yes it would be a fairly simple matter in essence to render to another device. However modifying the source would make a lot more sense than an APE... APE's are really suited to modifying the framebuffer in some way, not rendering the framebuffer out to another device... although I can think of ways it could be done.

so maybe another program instead?

I'm not sure but I think he means making a different kind of plug-in. Not all plug-ins are APES some are .dll files. Also you might want to check out the development section of the forums. If you read the sdk you'll see that visual c++ is the main program for creating plug-ins. Some folks use Delphi, others use Visual Basic(in fact I think Visual Basic might be a good choice if you're hoping to impliment DirectX).

Anyhow, we're not all natural born coders and programmers. I for one wasn't writing code in the womb. I'm pretty sure I was just fascinated with having fingers at that point. So I'm not saying go out and do it yourself. I don't think that not doing it yourself means you're lazy or stupid. I think it just means your skills aren't yet up to the task.

well for 1, if anyone can get me a WORKING Link to a visual basic program (or at least try [I HAVE]) i dont think theres an alternative to it... i DO know vb ... and well... i just dont have the programs to do it... nor the money which im not interested in doing... :) thanks matt

13th December 2004 08:48 UTC

visual basic sounds like a baaaaad idea

13th December 2004 17:59 UTC

It doesnt just sound like a bad idea... it IS a bad idea

13th December 2004 22:26 UTC

lol, "NOTE_2_SELF: Don't listen to Nolita's programming tips..."

14th December 2004 01:16 UTC

You need to learn assembler.. teh l33tx0rest of languages. Then everyone will have total respect for you and stop the flames.

14th December 2004 01:56 UTC

:D

14th December 2004 19:01 UTC
